ok I asked her if she would be willing to give me a photo to post here and she said she didnt really feel comfortable, which is what i expected, because it is weird hahah

but if any of you want proof she said you can follow her on instagram and theres photos of them on there @sydneylarsenn but shes going on holidays for a few days or something so it might take a few days to accept you

I saw the photo and he looks like jimmy's son, she's telling the truth sorry guys

but yeah as trash said they definitely had encounters and she had a massive crush on him and went to heaps of his shows and talked to him and tried to get him interested in her if that's any consolation

The fact that JG is (possibly maybe) about a stalkerish platonic obsession instead of an actual relationship doesn't make the song any less interesting for me; on the contrary, actually.

According to Wikipedia, he has 2. Pictures of him with his daughter are easy to find, but I still haven't seen any of his son.

    OH MY GOD.

I'm ready for it, guys. Monologues to make you cringe and a filtered sunset as she twirls in the air and people jumping down her throat for advocating prostitution. I love this shit

Do you think Barrie is like, "Lana, doll, since you fucked the guy in your last videos and probably the blond cunt in the Karma video, you have to hire old men."

Lana: "Oh, no, Barrie, you're inflicting such a terrible punishment on me... :creepna:"

    ~time lapse~

Lana: "Okay Barrie Bear, I can't just repeat myself, pleeeeease can I hire Swallow again?" *de irony being thick*

Barrie: "No *pulls out catalogue of suitably unfuckable yet visually appealing dudes he's found*"

Lana: "Okay do what you do best eat the Pepsi cola you good for nuthin piece of shit I h8 you #cockblock"

I think it will be one long story: that stripping club will be G&M and that albine guy will be angel during Bel Air who will redeem her sins from past and let her soul go to heaven.

But it doesnt matter anyway, it looks like this thread is more about Lana vs. Adele. And i think people are delusional about each of them. bye.

    in on our way omfg
after the last chorus in the song, she just keeps singing 'were on our way, were on our wa-a-a-ay'
    that always gets me
it sounds so emotional and feels so depressingly beautiful
idk how to describe it but she sings with this kind of pain in her voice and i feel like it hints at that desperation she had to run away on a roadtrip forever with her man, but is bittersweet because the love ended
idk i sound stupid but so many feels in that part
    makes me want to cry

wow, so glad i joined this and finally found other lana stans
i didn't read the whole thread but i have a few things to add
i used to think dark paradise was about k and dealing with his death. until i heard the demo version, which threw me off a bit. but maybe. maybe k isn't actually dead, but dead in a metaphorical sense?? like maybe he got too deeply involved in crime and sirens could be lana predicting what she think may be k's future. maybe blue jeans is about what really happened with k - he was too involved in making money and crime so the relationship ended. i've always imagined that jim reminded lana of k. i have no evidence for this though. i'm not sure if bill even exists. in driving with cars with boys she may have just used billy because it's a fairly generic name. as for trash magic, i always assumed bill was just a nickname. perhaps role playing with her man. it makes me think of bill clinton, which sounds stupid i know i really wanna know whether she actually got with mr campbell or just fantasized  as for young an beautiful, i kinda think that it isn't really about anyone, maybe only loosely based on someone. after all, it was written for a movie. there are so many possibilities. but i really hope that in like 20 or 30 years lana releases an autobiography where she explains everything. that would be amazing.

So many, but here are a few of my highlights...

Oh Say Can You See - "The voice of Nirvana says, Come as you are" she sounds like an angel, but it annoys me the way she says "and I will" right after!
Never Let Me Go - The intro, especially the really faint humming in the background.
Brite Lites - the whole "The film is fading, look at me" part
    Cola - The high note
    Gangsta Boy -  Boopboopwhoopdeeydoo, Ow!

National Anthem - I can't get over how she sang the last line of the final chorus when I saw her on Friday, she was just so close and it was magical!

Yes, "Hello heaven, you are a tunnel lined with yellow nights on a dark night" is one of the best moments for me, but even more so the dark, eerie, and obsessive bordering on creepy turn "Yayo" takes after that.

That is a great emotional performance of MDM, and I know I'm beginning to sound like a broken record on this, but I believe her performance at Òran Mór in Glasgow remains her best (although I do love the way she wails "I'm fine" on some other live performances, like Hackney I think). She nails all the tricks, does some great scatting, and way she screams "I don't know" at 3:03 gives me chills. If she hadn't forgotten to sing into her microphone at one point, it would be perfect. Perhaps she sang it so well here because Barrie was probably there.

    Some other great moments:
    - The high vocal harmonies in "Serial Killer"
    - The intros to "Kinda Outta Luck" & "She's Not Me"
    - Some of the breathier vocals on AKA, especially "Kill Kill", "Jump" and "Mermaid Motel"
    - "Goddamn, goddamn" in live version of "Pawn Shop Blues"
    - "Mmmmmmm" at the end of the chorus in "Video Games" and at the end of some lines in the chorus of "Kill Kill"
    - "Pushing up my (moans) in your face, in your face" in "Go Go Dancer"
    - "Not even they" and "their heavy words" in "Radio"
    - Alterna-rock live version of "Brite Lights", the whole thing
    - "Come on, come on" in "For K Part 2 (Demo)"
    - "savior" in Kinda Outta Luck

I'm not talking about your favorite song, or your favorite lyric. I'm talking about the moment in a song that makes it special, that you find yourself waiting for and anticipating. Production elements, a particular accent or vocal trick used, kicking in of a certain instrument...all this applies. However, this is exclusively Lana.

For me, it's the final chorus of "Mermaid Motel". I don't know the musical jargon of the technique she uses there in her vocals (Monicker could probably teach me a thing or two), but it's absolutely mesmerizing and a real contender for one of the most brilliant, effective decisions she's made in her music. How's that for a grand statement? Even if the credit goes to David Kahne for that last chorus, maybe that's just confirmation of what a dream team they were. It just instantly stops me, the way it seems almost...turned inside out? Just go listen to it, it starts at 3:02.

While I did wanna share that, I'm really interested to know your musical moments with Lana. Anticipating some "dark nights" from "Yayo", don't disappoint me

I think the whole "celebrity perfume" thing is extremely over done. Like, just because you're a celebrity it doesn't mean you have to have a perfume with your name on it.

That being said, if she made a cologne called 'Daddy," I would buy that shit.

actually i love it. the echo effect is haunting in a good way. obviously this would have been the song in it's earliest stage xx

I'm not sure if this has been posted on here or not (it probably already has) but I didn't feel like looking through all the pages. It's an interview with David Nichtern, the owner of 5 Points Records about the shelving of AKA. Pretty interesting!
