In my opinion the backing band deserves a lot more credit for lifting Lana's music to great heights. I remember back at the start of the Paradise Tour some of the reviewers wrote that her backing band did not match the glamour of Lana. Now they know her every whim (almost). Just think about the drummer. I think his confident handling of the drums contributes to making her sound really special and unique. All of them are fantastic in my opinion.

I love how the top part is deadass one of the hottest things Lana has ever wore and the bottom part looks like she forgot to take off her PJs lmfao I love her so much also the face on the last pic is one of the most legendary derpnas of all time

In regard to the Islam debate, I think that we can and SHOULD criticize Islam as a belief system/ideology, as it is absolutely part of the problem,with fundamentalist terrorism.

As Ayaan Hirsi Ali said so well: No mono-theistic religion is a religion of peace. They all contain the seed of violence as they divide people into categories and claim the truth. 
Criticizing Islam as an oppressive structure is not the same as criticizing every single muslim practicing their faith, many of whom are victims of terrorism themselves. Saying that there currently is a greater need for seculiarization within Islam than Christianity and Judaism is not the same as saying that Christianity and Judaism hasn't been (or still aren't) oppressive structures as well.

a real supporter of a singer will see every single show they can, even if the song list is mostly the same
and if not see ALL the shows, see one on each tour
and no two shows are exactly the same, there is always some nuance in each one, and some are better than others

-i love the "blueblueblueblue" in Freak, "stranger than a stranger"? -hilarious!! I always thought she´s being cheek n´ tongue with these kind of lyrics, slowly realized she´s propably dead serious -even better, that trolls even harder!
-"my pussy tastes like pepsi cola": i never saw it as only a provocative line. the song has this enthusiasm in it and I think she wanted to paint the American dream as something sweet (lol), she´s beeing coquettish with her sexuality and SHE`S DELICIOUS    edit: I also always wondered wheather it might be a comment on her commercial succes with BTD 
-"shining like gun metal, cold and unsure": honestly don´t get how this is a bad line? makes me think of a girl who´s partying and seems confident, but is actually shy and unsure, reminds me of "lying to herself 'cause her liquor's top shelf", and talking about coldness:
-"hawaiin glam metal", "surf noir": always loved these terms. they describe the atmosphere so well. the coldness in lanas music is the thing i always related the most to. this dirty, unsetteling atmosphere she creates in LDRAKALG with these tropical, maritime sounds and these cold neon light trashy lyrics always gives me THE CHILLS. (still can´t believe some critics actually criticized that UV sounds suffocative  . I don´t know this was probably already said, but I heard that people with anxiety often feel like they suffocate and we know lana has problems with anxiety, so i think its definitely on purpose)

She doesn't need a boob job or any major work out. If anything she looks perfect the way she is right now. She actually seems to have lost the few extra pounds she was carrying since 2013. The last thing I want is to see another anorexic size -00 singer with fake tits. There's enough of those in the industry already. Lana's beautiful as she is and needs nothing else added or taken away from her.

I noticed there was no thread for her instagram updates so I thought it would be cool to have one. Ok so here's how it went for me - I'm still shaken asf I have no idea what even happened and I think I caught a planet sized cold - I ran my literal ass off to the tube (I'm so fucking glad I haven't been slacking on cardio cause holy shit I probably outran Usain Bolt), went there and there was nobody in the area so I got scared, then I saw tons of people waiting including paps and basically after that I waited like 2h, I saw Stella Mac Cartney, a LOT of ULTRA HOT people, Lucky Blue Smith who is like, 3m tall?, Charli XCX who left like a thief, some other famous people I don't know the name of, and most importantly I fucking saw Lana, when she got out it was ABSOLUTE CHAOS, literal ultraviolence, I ALMOST didn't met her but an old lady w white hair grabbed the fuck out of me and slammed me on the barricade and Lana saw my sweater and did an adorable dork face for 0.3s and then took pics with me and I look gross but whatever I'm so motherfucking happy. Didn't got UV vinyl signed but to this point I don't even give a fuck I mean??????????????? Seriously this morning I almost didn't got out of bed because I was depressed out of my balls and tonight I got pics with her? This is the best year ever for me and I'm literally leaking gratitude. Also she looked taller than the other time and so beautiful and Johnny and Ben were here and I SWEAR TO GOD when they got into the car I was the one Johnny was waving at laughing, I think it's because of my sweater, and Lana was waving too so bye I'm going to die, still considering going to the Brits tomorrow but I'm emotionally drained and most probably sick I'm so fucking happy

It depends, are you viewing it musically or commercially?
Commercially, of course. It's sad because she could be huge if only she cared, I wish she promoted. The fact is, she has an amazing personality, I would love to see her more on Tv doing interviews and perform. She is just so good at it.
 
Musically, I don't think so. While her sound is very different from the BTD era which was obviously her best, the music is still good. Sure it doesn't have amazing stuff in it like honoring lost love and a glamorous lifestyle anymore, but they are still great songs that I listen to every day

All of her records have great lyrics, side by side with average lyrics, side by side with lyrics that make me go 'wtf?', but I don't care that much about lyrics if they're not that good - I take lyrics that move me as a bonus (and on Honeymoon I'd include the title track, TLY, Salvatore and TBD as among her best).
 
Musically, she's gotten better over time, although the high points on BTD are still the most exciting things that she's created for my personal tastes.
 
I don't care that much about music videos, but each 'era' has its own aesthetic, and it feels like it's only on this board that every latest thing gets trashed - in the broader world, people either hate her, or love whatever she does, or move on from her (here is the only place that people love her and hate everything she does at the same time).
 
I don't care about what she wears when she buys coffee, so maybe I'm missing out on a big element of her supposed 'decline', but overall, 2014-now have always been fascinating times for me to be a fan.

The only thing declining is the quality of discussion on this forum.
 
"Video Games" and AKA were what made me a fan. I loved her songwriting on BTD for the most part, but the production was a big disappointment to me. I would absolutely be here if HM had been Lana's debut album. HM is more the record I had hoped BTD would be.

All jokes aside it's so comforting to stan someone who has an """""average""""" relatable body I don't feel like I'm being lied to and it's making me love her even more. She's so unapologetic. Rock these Tropico scenes Liz I hate myself less since I stan her
