She also said her poetry book is about a bunch of things she didn’t want to sing about - so if the songs on the album are still lirycally pleasing I’m not complaining about this kind of poems. And I totally get some of the backlash. As time goes on, the mystique and ethereal quality of Lana Del Rey starts fading. The more dimensions of her we see, the bigger her character and the universe of ideas she imbued on us gets -- but maybe not in ways that we had hoped or imagined. And to much shock & dismay, we start to realise that she might just be.... one of us. A normal person, imperfect and fallible, with a hobby for writing out her fantasies, in the pursuit of self-transcendence  

There’s nothing wrong with not liking her work, especially when we’re used to her whole Lana Del Rey persona. I think it’s just a phase of her, she wants to make everything as simple as possible and if it makes her not-that-depressed anymore… I guess I support her.
