    Lana Del Rey Goes Nazi

The arguably 27 year old American singer is channeling what appears to be an homage to nobody less than Nazi regime leader Adolf Hitler in a recently leaked song called "Manipulate Me." To many this may come as an abrupt and surprising change of topic since the singer, whose actual name is Elizabeth Grant and currently resides in Los Angeles with her homeless boyfriend, a street musician from Scotland, has continuously mentioned past dynasties of Hollywood stars and has earned a reputation of self-proclaimed "Hollywood sadcore" through her epic songs and looks.

Lana Del Rey's iconic looks are a fusion of Hollywood glamour and pin-up kitsch

Sources close to Grant report that the mutinous chanteuse has even more controversial material in store for her upcoming album. According to an insider who preferred to remain unmentioned, Lana Del Rey has also written songs about Stalin and Mussolini. She is no stranger to controversy, as she just recently outed herself as anti-feminist saying she chose to have a dominant male figure in her life. Seems like the verbophile (a term currently being reviewed for inclusion into the Oxford English Dictionary) is now going to devote herself to a variety of different dominant men.

Lana Del Rey's album which is reportedly called The Tale of Eve and seeks inspiration in the life of Hitler mistress Eva Braun, is expected for late 2016 release.

So there's no question that we're in a bit of a news drought lately. Tropico is rumored to be out later this month but damn if Lana will breathe a word about it. So here, we make up Lana Del Rey headlines that sound like they could be plausible! I'll start:

Lana to Record a Duet With Elvis "Whether or Not Science or Logic Backs Me Up"

Lana to Write a Metaphysical Interpretation of Lolita, Sparks Outrage

Lana to Release a Line of Fresh2Death Ballcaps

Martin de Thura makes amazing videos. Honorable mention: James Blake - Limit to your love

Shakira - Did it again. The choreography<3

For the worst I nomitate every German schlager video ever. My friend and I stumbled over a schlager channel by accident  and we just couldn't look away, it was like a car accident.

I anxiously waited for @ to create this topic after it was mentioned in the new music video releases one, but she never did & I'm really bored right now, sooo.

Here are some of my all time favourites (cba with least faves rn, will do them some other time).

    NIN - Closer
Simultaneously very disturbing / creepy and really sexy (this era Trent Reznor could SO get it tbh). NSFW.

The Smashing Pumpkins - Stand Inside Your Love
Maybe a bit over the top but I love the whole ~b&w tragic love story thing.

The Prodigy - Smack My Bitch Up
Very NSFW. Jonas Åkerlund's masterpiece tbh.

    Blur - Coffee and TV
The cutest and also the saddest video clip EVAH. RIP little cartoon milk.

    Pulp - This Is Hardcore
This one's really great in an almost kitschy way, love it! Also, awesome film noir pastiche.

Sigur Rós - Viðrar vel til loftárása
Simply one of the most beautiful and meaningful videos I've ever seen.

Arctic Monkeys - Suck It And See
Just visually stunning and very Lana Del Rey-ish imo, with all the Americana references and the crazy / toxic / intense relationship thing. NSFW-ish.

    The Strokes - Someday
Because how could I not mention them tbh. Probably not even their best, but it's the most special one for me because ~dat nostalgia.

Poison Ivy didn't deserve my procrastination so be sure to give it up for her. Her overwhelming lesbian following brought her here but her thoughtfulness and humor backed her up--add the only LanaBoards political campaign in history, however short-lived, and you've got the recipe for a Member of the Month that's been a long time coming! Praise ha!

Well, I definitely can if I want to - so many people all over the world do it every single day about pretty much everything without actually knowing what they're talking about - which, of course, doesn't mean I'd be right. Regardless, that's not what I'm trying to do here.

Quite a few people here, apparently. Hence Lanalysis & 'Lana thoughts', for instance. What I don't understand is why people who don't care about it care that we care.

The main purpose of a forum is 'discussion', obviously. If I wanted to just 'enjoy the output', I wouldn't even need to be here. Different people like to discuss different things, and fortunately for all of us there's so many different topics to choose from. What I don't get is the necessity to go 'but who even cares?!' whenever something doesn't interest you; I mean, I don't give a shit about many things in lots of topics but I don't go there periodically and ask 'who cares though?'.

Pointing out traits is not an insult unless you lack a lot of self-awareness and take yourself far too seriously. No one said Lana's shallow in a 'omg I only care about money and clothes and lookin pretty' way, it was all about her focus on appearance in people she admires rather than their in depth personality. I'm pretty sure she'd agree with that herself and any rational being wouldn't feel mocked when others point out the obvious or when they're joking about shit she does. No one's all sunshine and rainbows and it's ok to discuss that - would you like this forum more if we just repeated over and over again how talented and amazing Lana is, every page of every topic? Wouldn't that be an interesting place?

@@ThorixB you know when you have a friend you know so well and like so much that you can insult each other and call each other on shit without anyone really getting upset? With really no malice intended? I'm not saying we're Lana's friends lol but that's the kind of 'relationship' a lot of people on lanaboards have with Lana (including me). It's not human-God, it's human-human and sorry but humans aren't perfect.Of course Lana is shallow, although not in the worst way one can be - but all her idols are beautiful people, she visualizes herself as glamorous in her own songs and uses the word 'beautiful' to describe everything she likes. I mean she's not Amanda Bynes but I can't remember her saying she likes someone cause they're so intelligent. I'm sure she does like people because of that but the obsession with beautiful visuals/people is much more voiced out. It's an observation, not mocking. I see you can't distinguish realistic fans from bloggers who hate Lana, I mean that's a bit sad. But I guess with the way you treat people you don't know much about inter-human relationships.

I'm positive it's from the Tropico shoot because I remember seeing it around the time it was filmed. It was initially posted by someone who worked at Interscope (who then deleted it) but it looks like someone saved it and posted it. So we have a new location - a house! I wonder how that works into the narrative.

I have absolutely no clue what you are talking about, I feel sorry for you cunt though xx

Let me give you a response even though you don't deserve one~ a person is allowed to not like everything about an artist they are a fan of~ no one is perfect.  This forum is not the kind of place that (typically) elicits relentless praise for Lana.  I'd say there is equal parts critique.  I don't hate anyone, especially not Lana or else I wouldn't be on a fucking fan forum dedicated to her.  Do I believe what is written about her?  You'd have to be more specific.  I'm guessing you are the type of fan that sends her 10 tweets a day, refers to her as 'your queen', and refutes any plastic surgery/ drug rumors.. good for you, I don't really care!  But maybe you should put less energy into how others feel about pop stars/ your blind obsession and more into some sort of hobby/school work.

IA, she said the same thing about Elvis. When she saw his face, she knew he'd be an inspiration. Little shallow girl ha ha

I wonder how much she actually listens to these artists she name drops..we've talked about this before.. the whole 'tragic character' theme...seems like one of those calculated things to say in interviews to keep up w/ d ~Hollywood Sadcore~ thing she has going. She names Morrison, Joplin, Cobain, Elvis.. and then she can't really say anything substantial about them in interviews.
