First dream-i saw Lana hanging outside my apartment, I went up to her and told her how much she has changed my life and how much she means to me , she just smiles and asks me for a ride to her job at the coffee shop.

In another dream, I was at one of her shows on her LAtothemoon tour, I was seated nearly in the front row, I had some weed with me so I was getting really high before her show and next thing I know Lana comes on stage and says it smells good, who has the weed? I tell her it's mine, she smiles and asks to join me!

i’ve been listening to this song non stop for the past few days and i’ve come to the conclusion that it’s suicidal...she’s asking Jesus to take her life and “save” her.

i think the mention of the past relationship is just her romanticizing the past.

this song really gives us an idea of where she was in 2014 imo. she was writing these suicidal songs and her label just wasn’t having it. so she started again and worked with dan.
    it was 2014 UV sessions

To add to my previous post, I feel that the poem seems to be her pleading with LA to understand, respect, and accept her so she can finally feel at peace and at home there. She seems to express both the worthiness and unworthiness about both herself and LA. She softly demands for her truth to be heard, vents and defends about various experiences and characteristics, expresses qualities about herself and what she can offer, as well as what they do and don't have in common in a way that provokes a sense of compatibility between them and her utter desperation for everything to work out there. "Can I come home now?" is not her asking if she can go to her literal house, as she continues to wish to go home even after telling the story of her Hancock Park home which obviously didn't feel safe or comforting.

Howdy, I am new to the lanaboards but a long time fan. I saw some people are curious about what a few of the lines from "LA Who Am I To Love You?" could mean and below is my interpretation

"Back home to the Tudor house
That borned a thousand murder plots
    Hancock Park
    It's treated me very badly
    I'm resentful
    The witch on the corner
    The neighbor nobody wanted
The reason for Garcetti's extra security"

Lana had fans invade her Hancock Park home so it was a bad experience that has her feeling resentment. She's referring to herself as the witch in the home on the corner and that her neighbors didn't want her living next to them, including politician Eric Michael Garcetti (mayor of Los Angeles since 2013) who she is claiming had more security guards hired at his Hancock Park home because of her (probably due to the infatuated fans).

“I love you, but you don't understand me,
    I'm a real poet!
My life is my poetry, my love making is my legacy!
My thoughts are about nothing, and beautiful, and for free”

    All the feels :defeated:

It's a place full of hope but also very full of itself? Being there feels like being in a weird paradox. It seems like a sad place to have residency in (unless you're already famous) but that's just me. It's quite beautiful to visit though. Malibu beach is a dream.

"Because captains aren't like poets, they dont make metaphores between the sea and sky. And as i thought that to myself i realised, that's why i write.
All of this navigating the earth was to get back to my life. Six trips to the moon for my poetry to arise.
    I'm not a captain
    I'm not a pilot
    I write
    I write"

With references to Eve and the original sin, and mention of Mount Olympus, and referring to her man as evil and from hel, and with fruit on the cover, this project really gives me Persephone vibes.

I finally listened. Count me in the group who liked it more than they thought they would. Damn girl. The backing music is great. Brings a beatnik quality to the whole thing at times.

I will probably hold off on over listening to it until I get to read the whole book. I want it in my hands. And of course the CD and LPs will probably be better quality anyways than this crap audible download. But I am glad it’s finally here. And it doesn’t suck. Lol...

In one poem she mentions watercolours of orange trees with snakes running through them, so I think the cover is a metaphor for simple things that look peaceful and beautiful but when you look closely there is darkness hiding.

OK I can safely say that Violet is what NFR could have been but kinda failed halfway through and hopefully COCC will realise fully.
Also, I get a very maritime vibe off Violet. I really like the cover but I feel like it’s not related?
