Nan, to me her worst title is Lust for Life. Too much on the nose. I get that it refers to BTD, but still.

So… super late to the party but YouTube revealed once more info?!?? I said it before that a March release made sense. Guess who was right? I still don’t know how I feel about that album title… but maybe after I heard the track I loved COCC and BB right away but that one, not sure yet Probably because I still try to fit in the tunnel thing with some lyrics that could be part of the song

I really like the lyrics on BB, but that album does have a lot of piano-only tracks… I am totally okay with COCC and BB being more stripped, since they are, to me, her « pandemic albums » and réflexions on her career and on her personal trauma. But she needs to bring more to the table this time around and it seems to be the case.

I’ve been able to finally login to my account (unlucky you, you have to deal with my observations and thoughts once more hahaha!) Regarding BoZ’s description… I thought he was talking about the album rather than the first single… second of all, Ben did say it was a singer-songwriter beauty of an album (or something like that): I expect the lyrics to need a couple of listens and to be wordy, like she said. Not a bad thing - she seems to have included a lot of layers in the production to make the tracks lush.

About the Harry Nillson supposed cover… maybe it’s not necessarily a cover per se, but maybe she references the song, just like she did so many times with older classics throughout her discography? I like that logo

I’m really excited for this album and the new single. BoZ’s description is just what I wanted for. but I must say that the single’s title is just so weird, like no one other than her can call a song Did You Know There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd and make it the lead single of her new album

Of course BoZ had to spill while I was at work so I gathered that the new single is out Friday, that it’s called Did You Know There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd and that it’s 4:45… and the album is in his top 3, with no outtakes Anything else?

It was almost impossible to listen to LFL from cover to cover except if you’re on a road trip. But I prefer the 16 very diverse tracks of LFL to the 15 tracks of BB: not that BB is bad at all (I really like it), but there are one too many songs that rely too much on piano alone.

Not me liking everyone suggesting 15+ songs when I just said I wish it was between 12 and 14 (NFR was the biggest shocker of them all, though, with its 14 tracks when VB is almost 10 minutes)

I listened to the Tunnel snippet we got, when it was out (before Lana posting about the theft) and remember it was so short and had so many watermarks that I couldn’t even say if I liked it or not urgh can we finally have the cover and tracklist? Why does time feel so stale when it’s just around the corner?!?

Thanks sweetie! i really don’t think we can compare the number of songs on a Lana album and other acts since her songs are usually longer than most of other female singers. Between 12 and 14, I’d be a happy camper.

How long are her songs though? (Real question, I don’t listen to her)

I still wonder why she never did release her collection of 25 unreleased songs… Maybe she doesn’t want to have old demos / scrapped songs she never did love to overshadow the albums she is proud of?
