It was in that interview that @keps2013 posted that she talked about RBFY being considered an intro for LFL. She did post herself listening to it at the end of 2017, on her ldr IG account. Some say it sounded a bit different, I’m not sure about that (rework? Final version?)

The more I hear or learn about outtakes and leftovers, the more I think the only two albums that have, IMO, outtakes as good as the songs on the album or even better are UV and LFL. Sure, some tracks are cute, some demo are nice but they never match the songs of their album… except for UV and LFL (I wish she’d release a b-side album to UV )

I think he used all of my patience for her to reuse songs or rerelease them with Yosemite and Life Is Beautiful But I must say that the outtakes from Bb were a great surprise

I do come here everyday and many times a day and the way I’m still learning some unreleased track titles

I am so glad there aren’t really bombastic songs from NFR sleeping on a shelf somewhere or in Jack’s hard drive, this has bugged me for three albums now

I am living for all of that was debunked today Honeymouns was wrong… (kinda makes sense that Fine China wasn’t reworked : it is already so wonderful and even though I love Dan, I don’t know what « more » he would have brought to that song) there are no damn no bombastic tracks left off NFR (so we can finally stop praying for those), but we now have a couple of titles or leftovers that are truly worth our time I’m not the only one that hates i Talk to Jesus

@BlackoutZone thanks for all the answers!!!! You are a legend

It’s a tough article to read, these days. Not that that interview was superbly conducted at all, but we’ve come a long way on how we talk about mental health. No way that some questions would be asked today. And I don’t want to give a complete absolution to Lana either: she had been misquoted or said problematic stuff in some interviews, there were rumours about her not wanting to tour, plus that interview was after UV (we still had no idea who she really was at that time, if she was this destructive girl that would burn out or if her albums were only a part of her and not the whole thing)

Lana on Rolling Stone's list of Best Singers of All Time
GeminiLanaFan replied to Beautiful Loser's topic in Latest News
Celine has had incredible music performances, that’s for sure (To Love You More is my fave from her ever). and to be fair, she should have been somewhere on that list. But I guess Rolling Stone didn’t think she fit the « originally / depth of catalog » or wherever other criteria. -

I really don’t like nasal voices true, she always had that nasally quality to her voice like you said, but it wasn’t as proéminent as it is now IMO. im from Canada and Celine is considered a national treasure and someone you should worship and kiss the ground beneath her feet and even though I used to love her, I really can’t stand her anymore. -

I can’t with Celine anymore She used to have an incredible voice, when she was on top and trained her voice like a professional athlete (circa 1995-98; not that it was « healthy »: it needed her to sacrifice a lot to keep up with « conquering the world »). But since the 2000s, she relies too much on a nasal performance that I can’t stand. anyways, back on topic… I see those lists as an intellectual exercise rather than one that will please everyone or one I will agree with. I’m glad Lana is there, though she doesn’t have the most « powerful » voice, I find her voice and lyrics much more touching than some « bigger » voices on that list (I sure would have ranked her higher). The top 10, I cant disagree with even if I rarely listen to a complete album by any of the divas on there. Nina Simone being there sure is a highlight to me. -
This post is so iconic

We truly have different tastes . No disrespect at all, everyone is untitled to their opinion. But, to me, the title track is so rich, so grand, so touching… Crazy for You and California didn’t excite me very much when I heard their snippet and, well, I don’t enjoy them that much (they sound too demo-ish, and the lyrics are a bit meh. Dragon Slayer is already 10 times better to me). again, this is not disrespect to you at all, and I hope you will find something in the new album that you will love

I think you’re right: TUOB is probably a fan single and with the theft, it changed plans a bit (I don’t think this was meant to be the lead single, but the one coming with the preorder; by having a preorder in December, her team needed a cute song but not necessarily the one that would create a lot of buzz around the album… until things pick up again after Christmas)
