  1. A&w is 7 minutes ?!?? and lots of songs over 5 minutes?!? I am living. im glad the tracklist didn’t leak yet: I mean, we still have three months to go ‘til release. BoZ calling the Bleachers collab the dud of the album is what I was afraid of, when I saw her lists of collabs Hell, even the pastor sermon scares me less
  2. Not saying DW is indeed an insider but I like a fair trial. Their info have been consistent since April, while pretty much all of the other « insiders » contradicted themselves over time. i don’t remember them mentioning BR would be on the album. They did say though that the DNC track would be out in July (if I remember correctly). But the theft did change plans… To me, the two big « reveals » that would confirm they know a lot will be if DNC is on the tracklist and if there’s some Coronado song / lyric. And the Jim lyric also (but we won’t know that one for a while now).
  3. They have been posted in the first pages of this thread. The credits were available from Apple Music on the first day (not sure they are still there, but surely). And no worries about those getting you a warning point since they were on Apple Music / iTunes.
  4. Candy Necklace?!? very iconic name for sure, but we were supposed to guess that? I love the « reference » to rock Candy sweet though Because of the writing credits
  5. Why bares the question: what is an insider, really? Who should be considered one? I think that even BoZ doesn’t consider himself an insider?!?
  6. I think it’s safe to say that the song with the long-ass acronym shouldn’t be like 3 minutes: just saying all the words to that must take at least 45 seconds
  7. So we’re getting her longest album yet?!? and FJM isn’t really a big presence on his collab? That’s disappointing. I don’t get the hostility towards DragonWhore. So far, what they said checked out. Im not saying I’m ready to elevate them to the pantheon of BoZ or Eclipse yet (the DNC song will be decisive for me), but we’ve been way nicer to DollClub who vanished into nature after edging us with a fake announcement, while DW has been consistent since April.
  8. You’ll Never Walk Alone is very much underrated. Her voice is just so angelic on it.
  9. Well if the vinyls aren’t ready for week 1, her chances of a number 1 are non existent
  10. Maybe it wasn’t the first single planned but things changed because of the theft of her computer? I find it weird that there isn’t a video for it so far… that being said, we’re in December and I don’t know if a bigger single would have done better… So maybe this was a strategic move : have a nice single to go along preorders… Or maybe she just wanted to put out the « heart of the album » like she often does.
  11. That one is my fave after the standard edition At first, the Amazon one was the one I was eyeing but the mint green / pistachio one grew on me a lot because she looks so much like a 50-60s babydoll singer / Priscilla Presley look-a-like. It’s the white one I’m not super fond of . She is gorgeous af but I’m not a big fan of the pose and the photos inside.
  12. I’m actually one of the few that really liked 30 and liked it better than 25 But I get why it didn’t do as well as her other albums : The subject matter was very « adult » and the vibes were very retro / soul. And Adele is putting albums « too slowly » for the actual music industry and people forgot about her. I’m not sure Adele jammed the whole vinyl production with this one but if it’s true and it didn’t sell well, she probably wont be « top of the list priority » the next time she puts an album out , a a opposed to Lana who sells out her damn coloured vinyls in preorders.
  13. I dont really buy Color vinyls anymore because they sound like shit… but damn, not only have I preordered the standard black vinyl (this is my fave cover out fo the five), but I’m really tempted by the mint green when UO will have it in stock… even though I’ll never listen to it (this is why I prefer CDs for the exclusive art: they’re less expensive and easier to find; but hey, it’s not my luck this time, with CDs: only the Target one isn’t like the standard)
  14. The Neil comment has me so excited : 🌊 Lana is the best. plus I just read yesterday that the song with the long acronym also has some marine imagery in the lyrics (I guess production as well)- BoZ described the song a bit more last week. And then there’s the notorious DNC, if it’s still a thing.
  15. Totally agree. but I’m also preparing myself to not love all the tracks on first listen or even find myself asking « WTF? » at times. I think this album will throw us some curveballs, which I totally love She seems to be taking some risks with this one.
  16. I don’t know anything about Mike Hermosa’s production, but for the three others, I love how that track allows each and one of them to shine « individually » while still creating an amazing cohesive song
  17. The piano debate again Do I dare to repeat myself by saying that many of her songs, prior to BB and Chem, have piano at the core melody but are often juxtaposed with other production elements / instruments?
  18. As much as I want to see that tracklist so bad, i expect another single before the tracklist: it would make sense to delay any leak possible by not revealing too much too soon. We still have three months to go.
  19. I have a hard time ranking her title tracks since many are equals. Ocean Blvd and Chemtrails probably are my top. but I know Lust for Life surely is the last one… and I don’t even hate that song (I even really like it). Her discography surely is fucking amazing when Lust for Life might be for many her « worst » title track.
  20. woah this is so true! Intentional or not, it makes a lot of sense. Bravo for pointing that out
  21. I completely understand that her albums are hers. But I love to get lost in her songs, when they mirror my own life in some way not that it always should, which is totally normal and fine, and it’s bound to happen at some point, that I won’t always relate to the story of a song. if The Grants is very specific, I hope the production is grand and lush, so I can still love it even if I don’t relate to the lyrics, like Art Deco and Carmen in her first records. I’ve mentioned it before, but this is what was tricky about both BB and COCC: stripped down production songs that I don’t relate to ate very hard to love (the songs that are too oriented towards celebrity and motherhood, like Dance Til We Die or Sweet Carolina, are the ones I listen to the least)
  22. At the moment, I imagine the narrative of the album being about her fucked up early life, making her « vulnerable » to being recruited in a cult, and her experiences there in the second half of the album.
