Just had a thought… We got Chemtrails on March 19. Two months later, on the 19th or 20th, we got the three singles. Next week is not only the 19th but also two months after that release…

Late to the party, but here are my ranking of the title tracks: 1. BTD : the strings at the beginning And it’s the first song I heard that had me like « Is she me? » The way she described how I was seeing life, the loneliness on Fridays, looking for answers all my youth… 1. UV and HM: both are mysterious in their own way and hypnotic, setting the tone to their albums. 2. Chemtrails, Blue Banisters, Norman: all three don’t seem as strong as her first title tracks and yet, they are some of her finest work and all have a moment when you click with them and fall in love. 3. LFL. Not a bad song at all, just not as meaningful as her other title tracks, plus it’s her most « bop » of her title tracks. If she had included both the single version and the demo on the album (as a reprise, in a way) it might have been my fave: to convey that feeling in two different contexts that complement each other would have been perfect.

I don’t think that LFL being named originally BAR was nothing more than speculation and it never was confirmed. Something about BAR being leaked under the name track 2 or something and we all jumped on the «usual placement of her title track », if I’m right. Norman being called TNBAR happened with critics, when they said that Jack and her really did produce the next best American record, rather than having been considered seriously as an album name (it would have been so weird, to name the album after one of the few Rick songs when Jack is the main producer). anyways, Blue Banisters grew on me as an album title and it is a worthy successor to Chemtrails : both sound very poetry / singer songwriter to me. Arcadia would have been slightly better, but I really don’t think she is in that headspace right now?!?

I don’t expect it by Friday, but two radio stations did repost her selfies on their Twitter since we found the single would be called Arcadia… Sis is coming by the end of summer me think Agreed! There’s something so mysterious about it, and a « continuity » to the title Yosemite. I’m just glad the song isn’t called Good God like some thought it could

Arcadia probably was considered as an album title because she was still with Clay at the moment and in love (the snippet is very much about not being able to keep your hands off your lover), and BB was probably about Sean… until she broke up and it could be about Clay as well. She might be more in a healing headspace right now, therefore going back to the BB title. (God that album has more names than a personality disorder)

Arcadia If November is the release month, early September?

Didn’t BoZ say that the cover she posted was one out of three possible?

BoZ said a while back the snippet could be the new album title (although she made the BB post with the cover); apparently, if you upload the snippet on YouTube, in the description, the title Arcadia comes up (according to Twitter, so take that with a grain of salt). I’ll take that over fighting.

If it’s coming before the end of 2021, i’m more than ok with that. November makes more and more sense as the days/ weeks go by: the new album announcements are all in the October weeks now, unless the artist does a digital release first; this will never happen with Lana and a November release is more and more plausible.

Ok, so I reread what we just wrote and BoZ said the new snippet could be the title track, unless she kept Blue Banisters as the album title. The Arcadia title is not confirmed by him, nor the November 2 release. Did I get it right? (if Nov 2 is true, I get why she doesn’t release the single early August).

The three singles feel very much « I’m at the cabin and thinking about my past ». It would really fit the theme.

I think it’s pretty much it.

Arcadia would fit the whole theme of the album (I posted about the album giving me « Reflexive Lana at the cabin », so an album title about nature and pastoral and peace would be fitting). And it’s a very pretty name as well. I love BB as a song title, like it very much as an album title, but Arcadia would be great as well.

What is that rumour on Twitter?! YouTube has the Map of LA listed as Arcadia?!?

Lol this was overly graphic. I never liked Halsey, but her album being produced by Atticus and Trent Razner has me super curious (love how dark their music can go), the visuals to her album look astonishing. I might not like the damn thing in the end, but her heavier production, if I love it, might be just what I need to enjoy Lana’s minimal BB (and future release).

high by the beach was released six years ago today… and it got me so nostalgic of a good pre-release era lol. Honeymoon was the perfect era for me, and I would have loved if she had loved if she had released Map of LA around this time of year. Oh well, time to let her do her thing and get excited for Lorde and Halsey’s releases.
