i love when she mentions blue, it’s my favorite thing about lana hahahaha there’s a difference of opinions. but no, she’s not bad if you like that genre, definitely check her out on apple music, it only took me a few seconds to hear it and notice the similarities in her voice to Miley. Miley’s good when she does some stuff, some of her music i’m not a fan of but other stuff by her can be really good! i think maybe Nikki is the same way? idk i haven’t heard enough to really judge her music or her vocal structure but she’s not my favorite just from what i heard

same here!!! seriously this is how i feel about Lana. i like Lana doing solo stuff on her albums, it just makes everything more cohesive and not overly produced. i will say this, i listened to this girl on apple music just a second ago and she sounds better in the studio vs live, but i still don’t care for her voice. she almost sounds like a more twangy miley cyrus which isn’t necessarily bad if you like her genre/style of music but i don’t care for it. hopefully the studio version is actually good, more folky rather than country. i won’t write it off entirely just yet, i’ll listen to the album version first and judge it but based off of the live version idfk.... i just don’t know yet

Yall I just listened with headphones for the first time and wow. Its truly an experience. The reverb on her backing vocals when she sings “Let me love you like a woman” and then the clean fronting vocals on “let me hold you like a baby” is so good. And the drum, so simply, yet such a small impact that the song doesn’t sound or feel empty. I bet this is the second to last song on the record leading into something else before the end of the album. Ughhhhhhhhhh so fucking good I love it

i found the book at a barnes & noble. they also had the vinyl in stock (which i already have 2 copies coming through the mail) but i got the book and holy fuck. it’s absolutely beautiful. i hope she continues publishing poetry books after the second one, this one truly is a fantastic piece of art, i’m just so shocked

The only thing that she said that’s good is ending Obamacare which was fucked. I’m sure it helped some, but for people like me, it made healthcare unaffordable when I made $10/hour & because I didn’t get it, I was then charged at tax time. Once I did get the exemption but then as soon as I made a little more it was still unaffordable bc i’d be paying 1 entire paycheck per month for it.... which is ridiculous. That’s already over with so idk why it’s relevant Do away with the insurance system as a whole. Fuck that. Just lower healthcare prices out of pocket as a whole and be reasonable. For those of you outside of the US, my local hospital pays less than $0.10 per IV fluid bags, but they charge $100 a pop. Fucking needs to stop. This is how “cApItAlIsM” only works to fuck the people, low to mid income. Sorry rant about that over with. Abortion... i really don’t have a whole lot to say about it, because i’m not a woman. Let people live, if they want an abortion let them get one. Don’t gatekeep, we’ve already seen what happens when you ban something, look at the war on drugs. The person still gets what they want, except illegally, more dangerous, and can be life threatening. It’s far more dangerous to ban abortions. Either way, I’d vote for letting abortions be done legally bc i think it’s the right thing to do. I’ll never understand republicans’ want to control someone else’s body. It’s absolutely beyond me...
