I'm not trying to bash the album completely but a lot of these songs are lyrically the worst she's written in her entire career. The production on the other hand makes it even worse and more unlistenable. I love Marina's discography so much and she's gotten me through so much in the past but this album feels less special to me. I'll let it grow on me after a while but I'll stay feeling the same way about it. I understand that she might've wanted to do something different but there's many other ways she could've executed this album better. If you guys like the album then that's fine but I know, and we ALL know that she can do better than this.

Someone please leak something off NFR so Lana remembers there are actually stakes in this game. I actually can’t think of anything else that will make her spring into action

You know what I keep thinking about: she mentioned all these things about how the album was already done, how she already wrote songs before collating with Jack, how her life has changed and whatever since she’s been hanging out with her cult of 30 year old instagram thots and Ben saying the album isn’t done yet... I think songs on the album just don’t relate to her anymore so she keeps trying to scrap it and rework it to the point where it isn’t even the same album that she “finished” last year. I know when I look at poetry and writings from a year ago I feel like they don’t relate to me or I have to keep tweaking it and making changes to the point where it’s not even a sincere product anymore. So my theory is that whatever NFR we get now won’t even be the NFR 2018 we were supposed to get. There might be some “old” songs lumped in there out of pure laziness alone but it’ll be an uncohesive mess.

I have a feeling that poetry book is going end up like the lyrics books. $50 on Lana's merch site then $300 on Ebay or Depop.

No More Suckers should've been deleted out of existence. I never expected a song on this album to get any blander than Superstar but I spoke too soon I guess

biggest disappointment of 2019 musically for me I'm sorry if I'm being too harsh but that 4 year wait rlly had me fooled that she was crafting something next level especially travelling to japan and taking psychology courses etc but damn this record makes froot look like a indie masterpiece. This record sounds like it'd be played on loop at a tj maxx or something like department store filler music like these melodies and instrumentals feel like I've heard them 1000 times before, the best songs are EM, believe in love and enjoy your life

Yeah... I’m sadly disappointed. She took time off just to make stale music when she came back. She should’ve collabed with someone and had someone else listen to the album before releasing it. It’s just.... meh. I miss when her music had a bigger picture she’s trying to sell you
