Oh wow, I knew it looked familiar.

I love all the songs off their EP, but Not Ready to Wake Up is THAT song.

I still think it’s her worst released song.

D&D should’ve handed the writing over to a different person/group of people and this season deserved 10 full episodes. GOT is really going to end on a sour note if the leaks are true, and all because the writers didn’t do the right thing in passing the responsibility to someone else who’d have more passion for this project. It’s really sad. RIP Varys. He and Tyrion deserved more screen time, along with Jaime to at least explain why his character arc has gone full circle back to Cercei. I mean I get why, but it wasn’t executed well on screen because these writers couldn’t be bothered to give important plot points more screen time. Jon has completely lost intelligence and only knows how to say “You are my queen” to a woman who so obviously is manipulative and dangerous. He seriously knows nothing and it’s so hard to root for him at this point. Bran’s visions and Sansa’s knowledge were neglected. Arya’s skills were used well, but in this episode what was the point of suggesting THIS is the queen she has to kill when the leaked ending says otherwise? Too many slow motion scenes that were pointless and should’ve been replaced with scenes that added to the plot. What happened to the whole “Prince who was Promised” prophecy? What was the point of knowing Jon’s true lineage if the leaked ending happens? A tragedy.

Don’t know if this has been done before, but has anyone made a LFL album cover using one of Neil Krug’s photos? And without the border, or using a different font. It’s still my least favorite cover.

So this is what we have so far - and I know she mentioned there being 13 tracks in total, but who knows how many changes she made since saying that or the future changes she’s going to make... 1. Mariners Apartment Complex 2. Norman Fucking Rockwell 3. Stronger (temp title) 4. In Your Car (temp title) [both #3 and #4’s snippets talk about cars, driving/going fast so either it’s the same song and it has a weird melody like HIAB or they’re two different songs and Lana’s songwriting skills will forever be stuck on the subject of driving and the color b l u e ] 5. Happiness is a Butterfly 6. Cinnamon 7. hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have- but I have it 8. Venice Bitch 9. How to Disappear So that means we’re aware of 7 to 9 songs out of the 13. Now for the other possible additions... *I know Doin’ Time will most likely NOT be on NFR, but I know someone will reply saying “why didn’t you mention it???”* 1. Bartender (she only mentioned it once, and it was randomly in passing) 2. Doin’ Time (probably only on the soundtrack + a stand-alone single) 3. Yosemite (requires too much faith to happen) 4. Roses Bloom for You (I wish, but we all know her taste in choosing songs to release) 5. Cactus 6. Hey Blue Baby 7. Stupid for Being So Happy (really doubt #6 and #7 since she said they were made randomly) 8. Starry Eyed (Not the old demo, but the one she made up on the spot with a ukulele. She said she’d finish the song for the kids at the Children’s Hospital and dedicate it to them, but we all know how forgetful she is) 9. MGK collab (Probably scrapped since it was meant for his album. Never got why people thought it’d be on NFR) 10. Jesse Rutherford collab (Probably for his project) Am I missing anything?

Is it bad that I prefer the production and her singing on Doin’ Time over the NFR songs?

Although the NFR songs are great, Doin’ Time shows Lana still needs to work on her songwriting/production skills since this cover shows the potential she has, the progress she could make with better writing and production.

Maybe it’s a matter of opinion then, because to me it’s the simplest explanation. lol To contradict the label theory, it’s true, they’d make less money with the way Lana’s currently releasing it, so why would they be the ones holding/shelving NFR? Lana has repeatedly stated in interviews over the years that her label gives her more and more freedom to do what she wants. Remember the conflict during UV? It was a difficult process to get it released since the label didn’t see the $$$ they could get from it, but they were proven wrong because her fan base came through and it debuted at number 1 on the charts. Jump to now and they were seriously not on board with her releasing a 10 minute song, and Lana said “nah, this is what’s gonna happen b”, and guess what? She released Venice Bitch and NFR is still written as being a heavily anticipated album. Although Lana is not the typical mainstream artist, Lana is still getting a lot of praise. So in their eyes, the label is at a point of giving her enough freedom to go at her own pace in releasing songs since it’s been turning well in her favor. Now for the poetry book being a part of the reason- that’s not complicated either. She’s posting poems, photographs and snippets of what she’s written for the book. I’m sure it takes time to release a poetry book and with her focus mostly on that at the moment, I’m sure that’s what her mind is mostly on. + Look at the cover she also did for this upcoming documentary? More $$$ for the label and Lana. She’s chilling and doesn’t give af. If you want more proof of that- look to her social media. Overall, I don’t think it’s that complicated to accept as true. lol

Personally, her actions confirm it and sometimes the simplest explanations are the correct ones.

Lana already confirmed (badly tho- because this topic is still being brought up) that this is all on her in an interview. In a nutshell, she said that she felt like this era had an ease to it or whatever and she could take her time in releasing it. Ben and Ed, as useless as they are, also confirmed it by stating a few times in IG comments that the choices that have been made are due to Lana, not her team. She wants to release the poetry book first and do whatever the hell she wants.

She didn’t change the pronouns for Blue Velvet, so it might be the same for this one.

The fact that she’s released songs from the album that aren’t official singles, but fan singles, and we might get yet another song that not only might be a cover but also not a lead single when the album is done is so beyond stupid on her part. Of course Lana’s going to say nothing until she releases the song like HIADT, and people will eat that shit up and she’ll continue half-assing her future releases. I’m not excited.

If Danny and Jon had listened to Sansa, Missandei, the rest of her army and Rhaegal wouldn’t have died. You would think it’s common sense to listen to the woman who was practically raised by their enemy, knows the politics of King’s Landing, and sees the bigger picture. Also who fights another war so soon after barely surviving the last one? I never thought I’d question Daenary’s sanity, and I understand the anger she has since she’s lost so many people she’s loved, but her damn obsession with the throne is leading to these mistakes. I don’t understand how some people don’t see that. I’m still team Sansa. Also can’t wait for Cleganebowl and see what Arya does!

Thank you for this post. There’s nothing else to say or speculate at this point and it’s very unhealthy like you said for some of us to be this invested in an artist to the point where people are posting it’s affecting them. I’m not going to be dismissive and say “You GuYz Need 2 Go OuTsIde” or “read a book”. No, focus on yourselves and if you find yourself caring less and less about NFR or Lana herself, DON’T feel guilty. If you feel sad, feel sad. Eventually you move past it and you might discover better coping mechanisms for hidden personal issues. That’s a good thing for you and everyone else. If anything Lana needs the lack of investment from her fans. If NFR isn’t as successful as it should’ve been then that’s on her. That’s not on you. And maybe she doesn’t care if it is either. Seek help, whether it’s speaking to someone, discovering a new hobby, enjoying a new artist’s music, going on a little adventure. This is sort of why I seriously wish the thread gets locked. There’s nothing else to say and that’s okay.

That was the most emotionally exhaustive tv episode I’ve ever watched, but it was amazing!!!!

This album is great to me. I love it as much as her other albums. I didn't even know people hated Froot on here. Soft to be Strong is the perfect album closer.

Was so happy when I heard her voice during the credits of the episode! It was a cute surprise and I’m so happy GOT finally had Florence write/perform a song for the show. She’s perfect for it!

Only came back to this website for this comment. So not only are the fans confused, but I’m sure other people close to her are. I wonder how Jack feels about this album rollout since he also seemed to like what they worked on.

I still love Downhill Lullaby, but the fact that she listens to her songs in different ways to make sure it sounds okay makes me wonder how the vocals passed since I was listening to it in the car the other day and it still sounds too low.

What month do you guys think the poetry book will come out? I’ll say early to mid summer with NFR coming the following month or two.
