  1. Yeah, good memory! Thanks. I particularly agree with your last paragraph.
  2. If I remember correctly, Dan Auerbach talked about it. He said that Lana kind of put up with people at her label but he didn't and that's why Ultraviolence ended up the way it did. Correct me if I'm wrong because I don't want to make stuff up. Not saying with Lust For Life it's the same, but it can happen.
  3. I think Lust For Life would have been a better opener for the album than Love.
  4. This is always a topic of discussion. It's nice to hear artists actually sing live, but it's also annoying when the audience looks dead.
  5. I love the album. It took a little to grow on me but I really enjoy it now, to the point where I can't decide whether I like it better than Honeymoon and Ultraviolence or not. Either way, she's proved once again that she still has "it". It won't take her too long to achieve legendary status (to me she has already).
  6. The beginning of Lust For Life, with the motorcycle and everything. The whistling in White Mustang.
  7. Blue Jeans, Cola, West Coast, White Mustang, Summer Bummer. But West Coast is my all-time favorite.
  8. Excuse my ignorance but is she doing "playback" or something? Because in the latest videos her own live vocals seem to have been overpowered by the backing tracks (particularly in Cherry and White Mustang) but maybe I didn't hear correctly.
  9. I don't mind her latest stage outfits. And sometimes I miss her unapologetic persona but at the same time I like seeing her caring about important issues and showing her more humane side.
  10. Argentina's first lady, Juliana Awada. I'm aware she doesn't exactly look like Lana but there's something about her face, style and mannerisms that remind me of her, mostly during the BTD era. 11. Ever since Ultraviolence, some of her songs sound like they lack something in my opinion (although Honeymoon grew on me and still love it). Maybe it's the production where the new songs fail (maybe, I'm not sure about the "technical" aspect of it.)
  12. She needs to work with Dan Auerbach forever.
  13. This one, The Catalyst and Breaking The Habit were three of my favorite songs. I liked that they turned political at one point. He was socially aware and (probably) a nice person.
  14. Thank you so much for this thread. I'm in tears. I wish he could have found peace while he was alive.
  15. I don't know what she said but you are my favorite member now for pointing that out. Lana and QOTSA would be historic.
  16. I almost teared up too. I don't know about you but for me I think it was the feeling of older people being moved by a product of our generation. They also seemed a little nostalgic and maybe even hopeful about the (artistic) abilities of younger people. (By the way, loved how one of the men said Love sounded like the folk rock women of the 60's. I never noticed)
  17. You described exactly what I've been feeling for a long time.
  18. No, I've been busy with college lately so I don't read everything but yeah, someone above explained. I didn't expect such criticism from that song
  19. Thanks a lot! I wasn't aware people complained about White Mustang, how can they? It sounded pretty good.
