  1. i usually try to accept when a track list is obviously wrong, but there are times it KILLS me to hear albums in chronological order and even though britney jean is a generally abysmal album-- it still could have at least made a little bit more sense with a simple re-arrange? her handlers could have PRETENDED somebody cared about the "story" of her "most personal album"

    Carly Rae Jepsen

ok so im not obsessed with miss rae at all, i actively dislike a lot of what she's put out in her career. (my boyfriend is a stan and we've seen her live i swear i tried) HOWEVER....... western winds sounds like it could beee reaaaaallllly good based on that snippet. kind of really obsessed with it and i keep coming back to this thread to listen to that little instrumental. i love how stripped back it feels for Carlos Reyes Jepseñe Solar Power vibes but i think we will actually be delivered a more chill and easy-to-listen-to album if this first snippet is indicative of the tone!!! its already my fav thing from her
  3. WOW came here to type this exactly. plus her weak ass "response" to remy ma's brutal diss track should have been the end, but somehow the world just sweeps it under the rug. it's fine tho cause her star has been faded, and she cannot accept it lmfao. to freeeeedom... free us from having to hear about you, nicki also, kim petras for very similar reasons. i don't support people who make passes for sexual predators, and then do the SHITTIEST possible job in manipulating their fans into feeling bad for them because people called them out for the choices....... "cmon terf twitter" and MARINA actually. not for any personal moral choice, i just find every album release to be less substantial than the last? idk how Love + Fear has more replay value than this "revival" of the old sound but yeah. i miss when she had substance. i'd appreciate what she's doing now if the bar wasn't set so high with her first 3 albums.

    Madonna

I like that MDNA one a lot! the original MDNA cover is alright it just feels like a meme after the necki menijj show turn up the rondeo

    Madonna

THEEEE HOTTEST TAKE on this website though....... i don't get why people feel like it was "trend chasing" or "uninspired" it's an exceptionally cohesive album with no skips (not even incredible!) and it doesn't fall flat when it came out not long after britney's blackout. and i love the name Hard Candy personally. i will not deny that album cover is GOD awful, might be the worst, but she has a passion for making the album cover as hideous as possible i feel. i changed every album cover of hers in my library...... i can't look at that shit

    Charli XCX

True Romance: Stay Away, Black Roses, What I Like Sucker: London Queen, Breaking Up, Hanging Around Vroom Vroom: I like the title track but the rest evades my memory N1A: ILY2, 3 AM, Emotional Pop 2: LUCKY, Delicious, Porsche Charli: Thoughts, Gone, Cross You Out HIFN: Party 4 U, Detonate, 7 Years Crash: Lightning, New Shapes, Yuck (I don't where to put it but I think 5 In The Morning deserved a spot on any album. One of my fav songs ever!)

it's a teachable moment i guess. when you think you canNOT possibly get any lower, it is always possible to reach a new low it's inspiring, and a great reminder to be humble. the greatness of your previous work can not compensate for the vapid tragedy that has become her musical catalog...... this is the stance i'm taking, luv. this is also identical to how i felt when i was scrolling the /popheads forum this morning and saw someone kinda remix/covered Treat Me Like a Slut? and it's officially released? they go by Blue Franklin. i'll be listening to their version if i ever feel so inclined to hear this tune

    Charli XCX

ok i finally found access to this album (i pre-ordered the vinyl and bought tour tix plz dont call me a fake fan) and im 1:01 into crash, the title track, and i'm QUIVERING i haven't checked the forums much so idk if someone already pointed this out, but my entire spine rushed with endorphins cause i SWEAR she's sampling queen lizzy at 1:01 ish when she's like "something something curbside put it in speed drive" UGH BRO. the smile on my face is ridiculously huge. i am 1:00 in (besides the 4 singles which i would sell any major organ if i had to in order to keep listening to them) and just completely re-affirmed that this will be my favorite charli album ever. and probably my new favorite album EVer ever. SO obsessed with this woman and her artistic vision....... she's taken us to some amazing highs, but these are the most stellar and breathtaking views into her pop-genius-mind we are seeing at these heights of her career. i am like so giddy and also feeling like crying cause it just feels like something i've always wanted from charli, and it seems SHE has also always wanted this out of her. it's just exceptional. the only bitch to ever come anywhere close to the level of achieving britney-pop-perfection into an album. and this is her most solid effort yet towards that. this is like. wow i'm just amazed and obsessed okay

    Kim Petras

so i'm just casually strolling through d*r*e and i notice something that said "Kim Petras - Whale Cock (slutpop outtake)" and i assume its just the usual trolls out there who pretend something real leaked but then make it like cupcakKe moaning on the track really loud but you can imagine how fucking appalled i was to hear this snippet of a REAL RECORDING miss petras lent her voice to....... "i want that whale cock..... that whale cock........ whale cock......... that moby dick" and then the whale moaning noises???? i have serious concerns about her and luke's middle school humor where they think it's funny to add animal noises to overly sexual songs. its fucking weird lmao. is this where we're at now?? petting zoo kink tunes? #investigateDrLuke #investigateLouTaylor

    Kim Petras

totally agree with you, and i didn't actually even know about lil aaron weighing in on the matter, as if either of them have any idea what the fuck they're talking about. and as if either of them hold any value or credibility as a legal expert lil aaron was 11 and baby e was 15 when kesha was first assaulted and reported it in 2005. literally neither of them benefit in anyway to speak out in this case besides for some clicks after bad publicity, and then they will fade back into obscurity. i don't know why they think defending an abuser with overwhelming evidence against him is the move, but.........
  11. alexspears

    Kim Petras

thank you, legend, and i totally wonder the same..... does she understand right from wrong? i want to say "of course she does" but unfortunately she can't even do the bare minimum to prove to us that anything is weighing on her conscience about this. in fact, it feels indictivate and almost factually evident that she thinks this is somehow good press. like the fact she's gonna name her album problematique? absolutely tasteless and not cute lmfao. glamorizing the backlash you get from gaslighting kesha, when there's actual proof about the matter, is not gonna sell you records my luv. esp now that the quality of the music has drastically worsened. AND before this rude ass terf comment she made, the only acknowledgement she has given the situation was her LIKING a tweet that said something along the lines of "do y'all really want her to keep apologizing for something she apologized for in 2018??????" miss thing just absolutely ignored the fact that 90% of the stupid slutpop Q&A was people asking her "what is it like working with a known abuser? " and answered dumb questions instead of acknowledging the majority. AND FINALLY, correct me if i'm wrong, but has she said anything about this Baby-E-Relevant character? lmfao like what the hell? you would think you would want to put oceans of distance between you and the vile person behind those tweets and comments online. once again, she thinks this is cute or good press. it's a joke. and it makes me sick as far as i'm concerned right now, if she's not actively against dr luke, then she is aiding the enemy
  12. alexspears

    Kim Petras

i also wish she could use her platform to talk about trans education and rights instead of........ whatever this is. this tweet just solidified what i was thinking after slutpop dropped-- kim petras absolutely cannot keep up with the false persona she has tried to present to the world. and when things start to crack, so does she. this tweet is a giant reach and it is OBVIOUS she is deflecting her terrible choices by saying she receives criticism because of being trans........ just insanity. to refer to people on twitter that call her out for this rape-apologist-behavior TERFs is so fucking ignorant and is almost trans-exclusionary in and of itself. is kim petras the only artist who also happens to be trans? absolutely not lmfao. sophie xeon, teddy geiger, chase icon, arca, dorian electra...... all exceptionally talented trans/NB artists who don't get criticised for working with rapists.......... cause they don't work with KNOWN rapists and then tell their fans they would never work with someone SHE BELIEVED to be an abuser of women. her words. and i was a major major fan of miss kimmy honestly. i looked the other way for way too long on this issue and i feel gross and sick that i supported somebody like this lmao. she'll never get another dollar from me as long as she works with luke. i have been preaching about freeing britney since before i heard about petras, and i don't know why i turned a blind eye. but not anymore. i can't be out here yelling about freeing britney, amanda bynes, wendy williams, bam margera, sam williams, etc without SHOUTING at the top of my lungs about free kesha. and kim petras should really consider herself lucky she's not in a situation like kesha cause it happens sooo frequently in the industry. why be complicit when you could be an advocate? and why surround yourself with people who prove themselves to be pretty bad people..... you become the company you keep. and maybe we could all overlook it if the music were getting was like good or worth a damn. but it's not. so

https://linktr.ee/alexfutris i have put out the most upbeat, conventionally pop, catchy and romantic song i've made in thirteen years ! it really really means a lot to me~ it's a sweet love song to my incredible partner if you guys gave it a listen i would be beyond grateful i also think you may genuinely enjoy it and forget this is just some guy in his basement~ there's lots of fun vocal chops and manipulation, and the layers sound almost a percussive instrument at times? album art is by me as well

    Britney Spears

thanks domination would have been such a serve-- it was one of the most exciting things (for me personally) but obviously we know how things unfolded. so glad she is able to just live her fucking life. and be naked. and drag ha sister online. 14 years in the making. one day she may dominate again!

    Britney Spears

i don't know if any other b stan have 35 brit remixes in their libraries like i do but i made this cover (i didn't do that much tbh just arranged elements from domination + private show photoshoot) if anybody has a use for it!
  16. i have tried to give all of his albums since his 2014 BBTM era, and i've found a few songs that i like here and there. but i'll be damned if this isn't an exceptionally polished album from front to back.... if you don't like really dark and synthetic, disco/80's glittery goodness then i can see why you would wanna write this off. but it really is quite a journey from beginning to end. love quincy's interlude and the poem with jim carrey at the end it's kind of like in the same vein as kim petras turn off the lights kinda? but sung by a male powerhouse popstar, and not about halloween obviously. he's such a dynamic artist and he's come such a long way. plus he worked with max martin & swedish house mafia on this. it is so refined and damn near a perfect album, devoid of any glaring problems that need changing. maybe a song or two i wish had a few different parts-- but no songs i want to delete from the album and the experience. i've listened through it like 4 times in full today and it just really gives me chills multiple times throughout. he's so so excellent! if you didn't love it at first or think it's a tired sound for him, try and forget that he's dabbled in the 80's stuff before because in my opinion it's never been as pristine as it is in this delivery. the concept, the flow of one song into the next, the story that he tells throughout... it's just stunning art. i love it.
  17. WOW very artfully said. i never thought of it this way but you're toooootally right. i was so sick of lana after ultraviolence & honeymoon. i couldn't really get into them. they felt even more dismal than born to die somehow. i just felt like it was going deeper and deeper, harder and harder, getting darker and darker etc etc :/ but then LFL came around and i was...... FULLY OBSESSED with this woman again lmao. i still think its her most ambitious album, and if it was a 14 track album, it WOULD be her best work. it is still my favorite, but, i think certain song choices really brought it down. and it helped me to appreciate honeymoon and ultraviolence a million times more. i don't know how or why. lmao. but i personally really hope BB was the bridge cause i like the album a lot in theory, i just felt disappointed compared to NFR & COTCC. i wouldn't mind seeing jack again but i would love if we could reinvent the wheel yet again. but i'll be streaming no matter what it is!

my new holiday song is live on almost all streaming platforms and you can find it easily here! it's not inherently about any one holiday even tho it came out a week before christmas. i actually wrote and composed the demo on easter 2018, and forgot it existed until i went through my garageband files and decided to give it the facelift it deserved there are two different mixes-- the sunlight mix, an upbeat and shimmery version, very reminiscent of the songs i made my myspace song. very 2009 vibes and the moonlight version-- a moodier, melancholic twinkly-spacescape version. very spacey vibes,. if you give it a listen (it would mean a lot) let me know which version you prefer!!!! happy holidays friends

    Lorde

normally i don't support fans being mad @ their favs for deviating from their traditional sound.......... but.......... after almost a full four months, ⅓ of this year has passed and i still can't find appreciation for more than 3/14 songs here with solar power

    Kim Petras

i don't......... want to say this. because i really like her music a lot. she is the 4th most played artist in my library. and also because i make music myself and would hate if someone questioned the quality of my music declining when it should do the opposite. but coconuts is a really really bad song lmao., lyrically. sounds fine and whatever sonically. but those lyrics are....... not fun or clever or cute. very cringe inducing. and it could have been fun and great and unique. it just sounds half-baked. much like FSN and the KimKimKim leak. i don't get the equation of new label + longest recording process she's undergone yet = this 5th debut album era. i love her to death, her talent is unquestionable, and even a great songwriter and live performer. but if this is trying to be a teenage dream, it's a grown man's (mine) nightmare

    Charli XCX

god i took just a brief glance at a few pages in this topic and..... some of y'all really make me sick it's so weird to me that people call themselves fans of an artist and then scrutinize them when the artist doesn't do exactly what you expect them to. this is charli xcx we're talking about here. and she's a leo. she is bound to reinvent herself and her sound a million times over from this point. and to be honest, 80's influenced music isn't even like my thing necessarily? but from snippets alone, this sounds like it will truly be her best body of work so far. to me. but the people complaining about her being "generic" or "wishing she'd do the pc stuff still" ok literally a.g. cook is a co-producer on like half of the songs we heard snippets of,, why are you getting so upset that she's not making 7 unlocks in it a row?! let this woman do what she wants to do. she's clearly fuckin killing it. new shapes is a glorious and powerful ass anthemic track. goes soooo hard in the car. this is so next level i just can't believe there are "fans" that are upset with charli for evolving lmao.
  25. million dollar man yayo sad girl or money power glory religion tomorrow never fucking came her best work mariners apartment complex dark but just a game living legend
