i really love miss kim pet rat but this song is just okay for me! i think it sounds like a textbook pop perfect song...... but i also feel like because of that, there was no risk taken in the slightest? it just sounds like a bright version of a TOTL track. which is great! i'm into the production, the last 2 minutes are eargasmic. but it just feels like it samples 100 other pop songs with this chord progression and little hooks specifically from like 3:02-3:07 when she says "you're more than just anybody" i KNOW that is a sample from something i've heard countless times but i just can't figure out what it is. anyway! i think its cute. i like her. i am not crazy for her just yet. i'm sure in the context of the album i'll like it more.

fallen fruit is a nice song but there's this faint microwave beeping noise at the end of the track that made me anxious also dominoes is nice too but the police siren EVER so faintly in the beginning is......... anxiety inducing as well lmfao i don't appreciate these real world noises when i'm blasting them in my car. i keep forgetting dominoes has the police siren and i be driving,, looking in my rearview wondering where the fucking lights are gonna be coming from and if i have to get over!!!! dislike it emphatically when artists put sirens in songs lmfao. it just is ugly. don't do it. other than that i'm really having a great time with this album!

Tomorrow Never Came

I think Lust For Life is one of her best and most cohesive projects tbh (they're all cohesive, but........) I've been slowly listening to all of her studio albums in the last month & re-experiencing them all again in real time. Letting the superpowers of depression amplification resonate in my bones. I know people don't tend to prefer this album-- but Tomorrow Never Came has to be in my top 3 favorite Lana songs of all time. It's so stunning and heartbreaking and sooooo relatable. When The World Was at War & God Bless America coming right before those? It's quite a holy trinity-- a 1-2-3 punch! And even though there was lawsuits against it, Get Free is such a nice and interesting song for her! A cool way to end the album. I think it's sonically very different for her & her normal melancholy melodies. I love it!!!! Also Summer Bummer & Groupie Love? What is there to dislike about those? UGH. So good. I'm currently trying to catch up and listen to all the stuff I haven't memorized from her. I want to have an intimate relationship with each album lmao. But LFL and BTD are the ones I've always felt closest to. My boyfriend tells me I'm crazy for not saying Ultraviolence is her best work though

i actually really love this song i can't believe the lorde stans are hating what she's putting out!!!! while i do agree maybe jack antantofmnkdfniksoff maybe has overworked his song producing brain (and it may sound reductive and similar to other stuff he's touched)-- he does sometimes make some really nice stuff. like wasn't the entire melodrama album executive produced by him? except homemade dynamite? idk, i think maybe i'm just blown away cause i was never a stan pre-solar power but WHEW i'm geeked up. if i were her i probably wouldn't have chosen SUCh a slow/moodyish song for the second/promo single? and i think she should definitely release at least one more before the album. maybe in two weeks from friday? idk so yeah, i love this binch and her weed smokin ass summer lovin shit

after almost a month with it-- i'm still quite pleased with this album!!! i'm happy it was short and sweet. if i could make one criticism, it would be either add one more uptempo song, or delete a ballad (highly emotional people tbh) flowers is top tier for meeeee. i love the lyrics & the melody. it hits different!

as someone who casually liked lorde (one song from each previous album. literally) i gotta say, Solar Power blew me out of the water!! it's....... so chill? and she doesn't sound so fucking intense sad like she did before. i really love this song. especially with apple music lossless spatial audio blasting in my car. the love for this song has made me go back and dive into the other two albums, and i'm appreciating them a lot more! solar POWER indeed! can't wait for this album.

y'all really hurt yourself when you listen to leaks and then get disappointed when theyre not included on the final project anyway im excited for a ten track album. l&f had 16 tracks but everyone hated that froot had 11. looking to be a quality over quantity type project and i couldn't be more excited! the title is fire, the cover is gorgeous and i'm loving the music videos and all visuals coming from this era. love love love

now that its been 5 days and I have basically the whole thing memorized front to back, I think I can confidently say this really is her best work? I agree with other users that the lack of collabs makes this SO refreshing from her last 3 projects. I think it's like if Pop 2 had a sexier and more vulnerable older sister that fully did a shit ton of ketamine. The distortion/production elements are so next level here, she and her producers are always topping themselves. I am in awe of how beautiful & real Detonate is, i'm in a situation exactly like these lyrics rn and it's just speaking to me. What I'm NOT okay with is the slander of 7 years and c2.0????? I honestly think this woman can do no wrong, and this song is my new favorite thing. my ex moved across the country when we broke up and we're still best friends and this song just sums up how I'M feeling now it's such a great song, and I love the distortion personally. I know that this was made in two days which makes it even more incredible. the distortion doesn't bother me but the random "woop woops" in the background could have been left out
