NPR did NOT have Ocean Blvd in their top 50 albums of 2023, but they did have room for Sexyy Red's Hood Hottest Princess on the list. I mean, who at NPR is selecting these? Almost every other major publication has Ocean Blvd in their top lists. I guess taste is loss on them. No offence to any Sexxy Red fans in the audience Edit: They do have some good contenders on their list, don't get me wrong, but leaving Ocean Blvd off is an insult to the art of music and lyricism.

She performed this during her Southern US Tour. I would expect this to be on an American Standards & Classics album from her. Possibly even as a single release. A 7" picture disk with TMHCR & SBYM would be so dope!!

Not sure if it matters, but the browser I'm using on my Android is the built-in Google browser. It's the same browser I've been using to access LanaBoards for years and years, across multiple Android phones. Never modified my settings, or made any changes to the standard browser settings. The issue started (for me) about a month ago. I also noticed I was not able to tag @Elle in my last comment via mobile. I had to load up LanaBoards on my laptop to tag. It's very frustrating not being able to like comments. I feel like I'm just lurking about in the shadows of LanaBoards lol

Yeah, me too. I haven't been able to like comments via mobile for awhile now. I can like posts via desktop no problem. I cleared all my cache memory on mobile, but that didn't work. Edit: Even if I view the desktop version of LanaBoards on mobile, I still cannot like comments. Whatever the issue is, it's strictly related to being on mobile. @Elle has there been any updates to the site within the past month or so? Wondering why a bunch of users are having the same issue all of a sudden.

Agreed, Elle. I had to pay $300 lawn seats for Tampa that are sold for $80. I bought them from some site called Seat Geek, I don't even know if they are legit tickets or not. Today did not go as I hoped either. I feel like resold tickets should only be allowed to be sold at face value, no mark-ups allowed. This would solve the issue with bots buying up swaths of seats when they have no intent on even attending the show. None of that money goes to the artist. It just lines the pockets of legal scammers

Total fucking scam!! I was on Ticketmaster's website at 9am waiting. At 9:50 I was transferred to a pre-queue line. At 10am I was then added to the ticket queue. How did 2,000+ people get in front of me? And then she was sold out by the time I was up in the queue. Fucking entire 20,000k Amphitheater sold out in 30mins. I never had a chance to get tickets!!!!!!!!!! My guess is bots were buying all the seats up. I found 2 lawn seats for $300 apiece on some website called Seat Geek. Fucking $300 APIECE!!!!!! Obviously, the person I bought the lawn seats from wasn't planning on attending the show. They just bought seats to resell them at twice the cost. Glad I got tickets, but still. To answer your question, yes. She rocked the music industry when Miseducation dropped. Did an MTV Unplugged gig a few years later and dropped her acoustic follow-up right after (which was actually pretty good imo). I went to see her at the House of Blues in Orlando when she toured after her acoustic album dropped (glad I did, because things went downhill afterwards). Then she vanished and became a recluse. Unfortunately, she's never respected her fans throughout the years. She is notorious for being extremely late to shows, or just not even showing up at all. I bought a ticket to see her live in 2018 for her (sold out) 20th anniversary concert performance of The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. She cancelled 1 day before the show and said she would not reschedule. I will never attempt to go and see her live again.

OMFG Lana is coming to Tampa FL!!!!! I can't fucking believe this. I live 15mins from the Amphitheater where she will be performing. I've always had to travel to see Lana before; Orlando x2 and West Palm Beach x1. This is the first time she'll be performing in my backyard. I'm hyperventilating rn

Fave song? Like seriously? It's the only track on Ocean Blvd that Lana had absolutely no hand in writing or singing. How can this be your fave??? This track (almost) ruined the album for me. It is the ONLY track in Lana's discography that is a forever skip. I blocked that track from ever playing on Spotify and the album flows 100% better without it. I might have been somewhat OK with it if it was (maybe) up to 30secs long, but at almost 5mins, it's way too long. I left the Church to get away from being yelled at by bigoted men telling me how to live my life 🌈 I get the whole artistic integrity thing and all, but I'm glad to finally have a version of this album without that interlude! I will say @BartenderDeco, props to you if you dig this kind of stuff. Apologies if I came off a little strong in my comment. The Judah Interlude is just my all-time least fave track Lana has ever released and I can get passionate about it sometimes. I got the email yesterday that my copy has Shipped!! SO EXCITED to receive it and as @rosemead ramada said, I can't wait to add this to my Discogs collection to make it official 🙌 EDIT: Damn, I do wish it was white vinyl. Not going to lie, they missed the mark on this one

Now if we could only get a repress of the LFL heart-shaped single. That's the only vinyl I'm missing to complete my collection. Will not pay the exuberant prices people are asking.

Just not getting this random release. I love SYTH, but not in this context. It seems underwhelming coming off of Candy Necklace's MV & Ocean Blvd's release. No announcement by Lana or her team, no hype, no nothing. I'm not a TikToker, but assuming this got released because of a TikTok trend; then to find out it's not even the version that is trending on the platform just seems off-base and a complete miss. Maybe if Lana had announced a B-Sides album release for later this year and dropped this as the first single, then this would have made more sense to me. Guess I'm glad to be able to finally stream SYTH now via Spotify. Just don't know how often I will be. And that sped up version... seriously If they were wanting a faster version, I'd rather of had a DnB remix or something different than just a sped up version. That's a ridiculous trend that I just don't get tbh.

I also hate when people do this. They only bought them to resell them at overly exaggerated prices. This shit pisses me off and I wish I knew of a way to keep fake fans from buying them up so that real fans have an opportunity. Fuck those people!! I feel this same way about the Heart Shaped LFL vinyl single from UO. It's the only piece of vinyl I am missing and it's going rate is astronomical compared to the original selling price. Totally gutted for you, Elle.
