surprised to see BAR made it onto the album but it fits so well and i love the song so i'm glad
i can't believe after all this time we've finally got the cover, the tracklist and the pre order/release date i can't   we made it ladies

nothing was scrapped in the end and that's a good thing. there's still so much we haven't heard on this album. all this mess is going to end and given the snippets and songs we already had it couldn't really have ended in another way. i'd rather have this tracklist this and patiently wait for LDR7 than have some of the songs be scrapped and then linger for years in our minds. at least we'll have everything she half gave us over the past year.
 
the BAR version that we have is a demo as far as I can remember, because the official version (at the time) was 4 minutes long. i think it was reworked again for nfr but Rick must have participated in composing the song back in 2016 (as he has with all the songs on lfl or honeymoon) so it is normal that he should be credited anyway, and it doesn't provide us new info concerning his involvement in other songs

The last time I was so genuinely impressed with Lana was the day she released West Coast.
I admit that, as much as I loved ALL of the songs we heard so far, there wasn't a lot of excitement to me. But this cover really set the tone, it's much more creative than any "fanart" ever.

I totally agree, she definitely KNOWS her vision and her art, nothing she does feels arbitrary - she definitely puts thought into her work and it shows? I’m excited to hear all the songs to dive into exactly what kind of things she’s trying to say, all the themes she’s exploring etc

Okay this. This woman knows (and cites) Slim Aarons, is always talking about aesthetics and sonic this blah blah. Like SHE KNOWS her art and American cultural history, so I trust her vision with this body of work. In my book, this will probably be her next Ultraviolence (HER BEST), because it seems she has a clear idea of what she wants to say to about the female/femme gaze and men's place within it. HM and LFL weren't as clear, philosophically, to me.

The lyrics are great and the piano work is gorgeous. It reminds me of Tori Amos.

That would be amazing but I don't think she'll do that. It'll be her with barely any makeup on and super-casual... or at this point it might just be a random selfie tbh... 
I really think though that this picture captures the feeling of the album so far so well
