I don't know why she spent a month teasing shit on twitter talking about selling the soul to the devil and being a puppet singer and now it's crickets? I know she has another single coming but she could've at least released a promotional single in the meantime and teased the album, like Dua did for Future Nostalgia when she released the title track between the first and second single to keep fans engaged

What is the tea on the FROOT repackage? I know True Colours was supposed to be in it, and I’m guessing Saviour and INHA too And my question is: if she recorded TC for the repackage, does that mean there are other songs she wrote/covered that were supposed to go on it?

I didn't expect to like it but Easy on Me is actually a good song... I like that it's not unbearably sad like Hello which I think its terrible

The thing that I hate about the Azealia Bank's discourse is that Azealia is pretty much harmless and everything she has ever done was limited to talking shit online, at least that I know of (please correct me if I'm wrong) Compare that to Nicki Minaj, who claimed that her husband's victim was white (she's black) to make her look like a racist white woman who wanted money and continues harassing her online and literally called her and all her family to scare them out of speaking out And that's not even counting the plethora of abusers and r*pists she has platform I know Azealia has said a lot of very, very ugly stuff (the transphobic remarks to Arca and SOPHIE are disgusting) but I feel like people are not intellectually honest when we talk about her

I kinda hate how short all the songs are.. like what was the purpose girlie but still its very solid and shows a great deal of creativity, I hope she gets to expand on that with a major label or at least a bigger studio cause she could really do wonders IMO

I don't know if this was already said but Pitchfork released an article giving Vroom Vroom an 8.5 or something like that It's still shitty cause the original reviewer was an asshole but it's nice that they are partially making amends

I mean those songs have a bunch of somewhat jazz chords and use a violin (only in MDM tho, Without You doesn’t use jazz chords) but it’s not like they sound like jazz standard songs (all the singers you mentioned sing jazz standards) The drums are very different from jazz drums and the audio effects/trap beats are definitely new I think Lana sound sounds what people think jazz sounds like lol

lana's music is so tied to that specific period that i don't think BTD would happen or even exist in the first place today lana's music was not dated... born to die specifically is just dream pop with trap beats

No the Lungs anniversary edition was announced a few months prior to the release I remember pre ordering it on Amazon I think it's likely that she'll release the 10th anniversary edition for Ceremonials but with the vinyl shortage that there is right now maybe we'll have to wait

these calculations would be correct if her songs had a constant rise in streams but they don't, there's usually a spike right after it comes out, and this spike grows bigger the more she is famous so obviously arcadia would have a bigger number of streams per day than idk summertime sadness, but it doesn't mean arcadia is more popular

I really really REALLY hope for scab and plaster and miss y on the 10th anniversary but IDK lately she doesn't care about anything at all so she'll prob just release more sweatpants like she did 2 years ago and call it a day

I never said she should stop using autotune, she can’t sing so she has to use autotune and it’s fine What I said is, the autotune effect that she has been using since N1A doesn’t work with the commercial pop sound she wants to have for this next album and IMO she should ditch it
