I'm trying my hardest to not be biased and assume it is Lana. But I can't help but hear her. And the male voice, I hear the Weeknd. I'm really trying not to lmao but I can't help it

What I find so interesting about all the speculation on UV is how it's going to sound.  Lana could do an album full 60s-esque Motown, electronic/EDM-pop deal, straight indie rock, baroque pop, etc. of material and it wouldn't be too unexpected.  That's what great about her.  Her back catalog is so diverse and she really nails it on a lot of different genres.  How great it is to have an artist with such a range.  At the same time though, it's going to feel that she's boxed in regardless.  Even if they try to touch upon everything from Paradise-esque Black Beauty to something EDM, it might not flow right.  I expect something along the lines of Paradise in terms of Baroque Pop but it's going to be interesting in how she makes the big hitters (4-5 songs, possible singles and a bit varied in style) flow with the rest of it.

    please stop spamming this thread.
I wasn't online for like 8 hours and now there are 2 new pages with no new information at all.
my hopes are always so high and then they are absolutely destroyed after reading the added pages

I could see lana like playing the bad guy- a villain not the victim , no more nice girl. (For the videos) something dark in a violent modern era mixed with a lot of roses lol

I'm expecting high quality stylish videos, like Born to Die and Blue Jeans.
No super 8/vintage/film things for me please

Damn calm down- y'all are so quick to criticize her, even though she's not reading this - leave her alone.. Like ya I get pointing out some stuff that makes her look older, but really? Adding " she should work out more" / "her face is bloated" , etc.. Like lana doesn't go to these events much and the reason she seems so uncomfortable is because people judge everything about her , it's just I don't know. She goes to an invent and all of a sudden everyone's saying how she looks older , her makeup Choices and such. I don't mean to be rude but lol let her do her , if she wants to look like she "got ready in 15 minutes" that's her choice. I think that everything she does / wears is her choice and she ALWAYS looks absolutely beautiful while doing it. Once again, I don't mean to be rude, this is just something that caught my eye...

The bottom line is this- we can talk about her looks if we want. There's no need to argue over it. Don't like criticizing? Don't participate. It makes no difference whether she's a model and/or a musician, she's in the public eye therefore her image is going to get talked about. Get over it!

Lol omg you're really gonna bring that into this? There's a difference between giving someone advice on Possible depression and pressuring someone to change their physical appearance which doesn't help anyone in any situation..

She originally said Black Beauty will have Spanish guitars- (something like that, if not mistaken) the "snippet" we got was fandmade and the song that leaked was obviously a demo so if it's on the album I'm expecting big changes- maybe even some lyrics changing. It's all in all very beautiful .

I'm sorry, but isn't this a discussion forum? Where we discuss things about Lana, including how she looks? Part of being in the public eye is maintaining an image, so while Lana has the right to wear whatever she wants, do her makeup however she pleases, and keep her body in shape or not, people are going to be looking at her appearance and forming opinions. While I do think some people push it a little far, we're all allowed to have an opinion about Lana that does not involve her being a "perfect flawless angel queen". I think it's wrong for you to say that simply stating that Lana looks a little older is "shit" just because it's not praising her. Fun fact: humans' appearances change as they get older. Lana's human. She qualifies. Being a fan does not mean that every single thing that you say about Lana has to be positive.

Lol you are making this a bigger deal than what it needs to be- all I am fucking saying is that y'all focus to much on Lana's appearance as of late, and saying shit like "she's looking older/ she's looking bloated" like shut da fuck up... That doesn't help anything and Definitely doesn't help lana. I'm done here, like I said before I don't mean to be rude but if you wanna keep talking about it , be my fucking guest.

I just looked at the Complex Magazine photoshoot with Lana (I think it's from 2012) and one of the pictures was so great, I just had the Ultraviolence cover right in my head.

    (Quick edit with Paint lol)

A great pose, not so different from BTD or the Paradise Edition, but still. I guess she'd wear something darker though! I'd love an album cover like this.

Lana's a popstar. She should know that image is extremely important. She needs a stylist.

I think it's mostly the make-up, sometimes when she's wearing that brown lipstick and weird eye make-up she can look a lot older but when she's more natural she'll look a lot younger. People also look better and younger when they're happy and she looks pretty sad in those pictures imo.

These were taken the same day and I think she looks years older in the second one:

Maybe it's just because her dress looks like my grandma's nightgown, but she kind of looks like she's aging a tiny, tiny bit. It's a natural thing, she's still so beautiful. So happy she lost those tacky extensions! As always, I'm still wishing she would dye her hair lighter, I think it would do her so much justice, make her look younger, happier :-)
