I'm all in for people having their own voice and opinion but you're wrong. Calling Honeymoon 'shit' is not stating an opinion, it's actually insulting towards Lana and those who actually like the song. If you don't like something you keep quiet or you state it in a non-inflammatory way. Simple.

I think Lana Del Rey is just a stage name, and it doesn't go deeper than that.
 
She herself has even said that there is no difference between Lizzy and LDR. I do think that she tries to be herself in public, but obviously she's still a different person when she's just with her friends and family and not in front of a camera or crowd. But this is more of a privacy thing than a "persona" thing. I don't think she has sat down and consciously created a character she's going to play for everyone.
 
A lot of artists use stage names. Rihanna's real name is Robyn, Nicki Minaj's real name is Onika Maraj, Bruno Mars is Peter Hernandez, Calvin Harris is Adam Wiles, Lorde is Ella O'Connor, etc.
 
For some reason people have a strange fixation with Lana's stage name. It's just show business as usual.

Idk what she meant by honeymoon being jazzy. She actually said that SoC is a jazz song but I can understand what she wanted to say, like on the whole mood and "color" of the track. So I guess HM is not really gonna be a jazzy album from a musical point of view, but more like in the imagery and in the vibe.
I wish for beautiful guitars.
But really all I want is her usual songs about her doing crack and touching herself to the thought of Roberto, her mexican super hot gangsta folk singer dead husband ; and psychedelic stuff like she did before and in some aspects on UV

Are we comletely ignoring that the the model who's about to play her guy in the video used emojis that could easily hint at MTWBT? I mean call me reaching but he starts with two music notes (Music), then two cameras (To Watch) and then continues with three sports emojis, two of them feature boys doing physical activities (Boys To). I'm not the one to make crazy fan theories and I know this could be complete bs so don't even try to skin me alive but it was the first thing I thought of when I saw the caption & I thought everyone else thought the same?

Although her music genre isn't pop, she is a pop artist because she has gained the success of her pop contemporaries. Just like Björk is pure electronic/experimental but she is considered a pop icon 'cause she was extremely big in the 90s and made a huge impact in female pop musicians. I would say Lana is a "major alternative act", but "pop singer" sounds/fits better and, for some people, bigger.
 
I think Marina and the Diamonds is a pop singer because her music is mainly pop (she even made an album following a pop music trend) but people consider her an alternative/indie act because she isn't successful. Marina even says she is some kind of anti-pop artist and she is ashamed of Electra Heart but, come on, her songs are fun, colorful and accessible

i want hq of these posters tbh, not just the courtney one. I can see why Grimes was chosen tho. she's appealing to a similar demographic. young, probably internet savvy, interested in contemporary music. i can see the majority of fans being happy or at least not displeased with this.
