I can't wait to hear all the live versions of these songs, specially Losss! and Courtship, Claimstaker, Utopia, Body Memory!!! and Saint, and all the live flute editions of past songs, that sounds exciting, I feel like it will be very vibrant.

Okay girl but based on what we've seen so far, I very much doubt that her messy team has any valid reason for the post-production of this one taking like what, six months? Especially if it's the same length as the song.

Someone on Twitter posted a photo of some part of the Dazed issue, which basically says there's a track called The Gate and Björk and Andrew Huang already shot a video for it - and she's wearing a dress designed by Gucci's Alessandro Michele and a headpiece by James Merry. "The Gate is essentially a love song, but I say 'love' in a more transcendent way. Vulnicura was about a very personal loss, and I think this new album is about a love that's even greater. It's about rediscovering love - but in a spiritual way, for lack of a better word."

Edit: Okay someone else listed other tracks revealed in the issue, and they're called Loss and Features Creatures. Apparently there's also a song called Allow which might be left out. Keywords for the album; "lighter than air", "flutes and woodwinds", "birdsong and natural world", "buoyant", "weightlessness, unwavering up-ness". Apparently the new record has a Vespertine-kind of sound which I'm not that excited about since I'm more of a Vulnicura person myself but I hope Björk and Arca will deliver once again.

just got Art Angels on vinyl as an early Christmas gift didn't even ask for it and I was so shocked

y'all who don't listen to geidi primes and halfaxa are missing so much smh

My initial thoughts:
- I like the album cover, very iamamiwhoami's kin, rather simple tho, hopefully the music speaks for itself.
- I'm not a fan of the first single, I'll give it a few more plays and test the water, but not a fan (It'll probably be like Outside, I need Your Love and Love Me Like You Do and I won't ever listen to them lol)
- awful song titles
 
apparently some fans who went to her listening parties say it sounds like Halcyon Days, which I don't mind as long as they're very good. I'm all for aggressive/energetic pop Ellie such as Flashlight, The Ending, You My Everything, Hanging On but not "radio-single" Ellie.

we have the bonus tracks cooking up + she has material saved up that she wants to release later, she also mentioned earlier this year that she may rerelease art angels like "the paradise edition" (her words) but like the be a body music video, it may not happen after all or something. she tends to forget lol

I think it's very refreshing, she can't do the same thing over and over again, I think we have enough sadness, whale noises, reverb, cathartic vibe + experimental and enough bops in the past to enjoy because they're already there and this album is really different, which is totally expected by Grimes but art angels is really different unexpectedly if that makes any sense. I enjoy how happy and angry it is 
 
ofc I don't like some tracks because claiming I like all of them is a little unrealistic + I've listened to the old stuff too much, like way too much but I'm really glad everyone's enjoying it + we have a whole bunch of new material coming out next year hopefully

Obviously they are not gonna make a video for a 1 and a half minute track. It must be an interlude for another song or something. Should we hope for a Ride kind of thing, or perhaps even Tropico?
