Am I the only one who think the song is about Lana herself? It was my first thought during my first listening Art Deco. Maybe not exactly cause Lana often put to the lyrics some real own experience but also a little bit art and imagination. To me this song it's about young Lana/Lizzy singing in the clubs and trying to make her musical dreams come true. And "you're so art deco" means she payed attention to her appearance and this look help her in career. "you're so ghetto" means to me she was diffrent than most of musicians in music label and her singing style. She was outsider. (Sorry for my english, hope you know what I mean) -

Totally agree! think Lana used "ghetto" by the third definition. I don't understand he whole problem with racism etc. -
Yesterday when I was listening my favourite radio station suddenly I've heard a melody that sounded just like Old Money. I checked it and I can tell it was Epilogue music from Romeo & Juliet. The beginning sounds exatly like Lana's song. Do you think she took the melody from this soundtrack? Or it's just a coincidence... Here it's the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7UemKe8oT3M

Exactly! And you know... How it sounds - the official promo video is directed by Lana del Rey with... IPhone. I don't mind spontaneous videos recorded with phone and I like older unofficial Lana's videos. But this one looks like a joke. I love Lana anyway but in this video she looks just ridiculously.

Just tell me it's some kind of nightmare ! I want to wake up and see the real video.

For the first time I really don't like Lana's video! It looks like video made with phone camera just for fun. It's not about quality cause for ex. Summer Wine look similar and I really like it. This video looks like a joke... I am disapointed. And her mimicry looks affected. And her lips looks bigger again. I don't like it at all. She should stop with lip fillers.

I don't understand the whole complaining and talking about the budget. Maybe the high - budget videos are not priority for Lana. She finally has made UV - the album without any compromise unlike the BTD. With BTD album she had to get attention and gain fans. Now she has more freedom cause she has already her own group of fans. So that;s why the music and also videos of UV are different and not so glamorous. I think she doesn't care now about the splendore and money for the video. IMO the most important for her is that video should reflect vision in her head and it doesn't mean much money.

Lana has performed Old Money for the first time! It;s acapella and I love it !! Sounds just like a studio version. http://youtu.be/8yxQ3itJTX8?list=FLmLk7hhhBxptzE0Hw72wSWw

I've thought exactly the same when I was listening the song for the first time. Flipside sounds just like Placebo on their first album.

I'd love to hear Lana's version of "Ban bang" Nancy Sinatra. Her voice is perfect for that song !!
