Maybe she just likes the word honeymoon sonically. She likes the mix of the words 'honey' and 'moon' because 'honey' reminds her of a sunset in the morning and 'moon' reminds her of the night and she thinks that's interesting because night and morning are kinda the opposite of each other. Also she really likes the word 'moon' because it reminds her of space and she loves space and finds it way more interesting than feminism and just life in general.

Honestly I'm not worried because I remember that when the Paradise teaser was released on youtube everyone was talking about how embarrassing the lyrics were, and exactly the same thing happened with UV, but both Paradise and UV turned out to be really great albums. These lyrics aren't that amazing but they are definitely not Lana's worst and it's not fair to judge a song based on it's lyrics alone. The lyrics are only like 1/4 of a song and melody, vocals and production are just as important. Personally I think the imagery is really beautiful, and I'm pretty sure that if these lyrics came from a Lizzy Grant acoustic laptop demo everyone would be praising them. But as I said earlier I think she really wanted a title track so she tried forcing the Honeymoon theme into one song, just like with UV (song).

I remember that Lana said in an interview that she really wanted to paint pictures with words and I think she really succeeded on that tbh.

I think this might be the same case as with Ultraviolence (song).. She really wanted a title track so she forced the album theme into one song and the lyrics became week and messy.. All in all I definitely think that these lyrics are better than Ultraviolence tho.

Tbh I don't mind the repetitive choruses but I just hate it when she named rooms different cities, streets and cars.

Dark Paradise Lolita Young and Beautiful "Crying tears of gold like lemonade" I will never get the hate for the Sad Girl lyrics tho.

I would kill for an acoustic album! I really want her to rerecord Fordham Road, Junky Pride and Pawn Shop Blues. These songs really show what a great lyricist she is and they deserve an official release! But yeah and acoustic album would be great!

I want an album full of songs. Preferably with vocals, lyrics and instrumentation.

I actually think the song sounds really good, but releasing a track produced by Dan Heath as a lead single would be the same as serving a piece of toast as a main dish.
