  1. I loved it so much, I can't get over how she literally looked like a 1980s computer generated hologram. some tupac shit
  2. I've before read comparisons between Lana and country singer Bobbie Gentry She was quite famous and gaining a greater following when she just decided to stop making music and has lived privately for the past 30 years, just like disappearing. I could imagine Lana doing that, but it would be harder for her to hide
  3. doesn't @@evilentity live near detroit? If this is inaccurate then ignore lol this song was just eh at first but I really like it. I think it's also totally reminiscent of Strange Love, sonically and lyrically. talking about her motorcycle love
  4. so cute and this: is so true, i'm surprised Lana of all people would think this way, especially after she has sung so many times about dying young
  5. I personally am sure it's "drag and" as for the story behind this, it's really not clear. I get more of a feeling it's towards a record executive figure
  6. Guns and Roses feels like it should be the final song playing in the credits of a movie
  7. http://www.stereogum.com/1686119/new-brian-wilson-album-may-feature-lana-del-rey-frank-ocean-zooey-deschanel/news/ Will this finally bring @@Monicker back from the dead?
  8. this is a difficult time for me but i'm going to sleep. god bless. I'm sure lanaboards server will be down when I wake up
  9. the videos are of the new snippets we got earlier. lol why would somebody go through the trouble of doing that
  10. Are we still 100% sure that's the album cover tho? :/ cause idk
  11. I've thought about this thread a lot since she said about FMWUTTT
  12. the fact there is still one 12" photo we haven't seen Looks like it could be from the West Coast video shoot
  13. I really wanna know what she's singing with Winter in the summer in the bridge
  14. The sounds of the album gives me visions of some southern bayou
  15. okay after being cyber-bullied by @@evilentity I decided to listen to the snippets The sound of the album reminds me of Sunny Side Up by Paolo Nutini. I love the shift from the polished, arguably, over produced songs from Born To Die. We have an album of stripped laid back songs which sound spontaneous and very in the moment. She could churn out album after album of Blue Jeans and Video Games style songs but I think it's a bold move to consciously decide to do stuff in one-take and I think that's what makes an album special or memorable in years to come. I think the process behind the album is wildly different than Born To Die and Paradise. I love how she seems to be using her voice to her full ability and singing in ways we haven't heard before. I was totally not impressed with the lyrics of the title track at first, but every snippet sounds great. Shades of Cool remains the track to beat. I feel like this album is a full circle moment for her, finally being recognised as a genuine artist Ready for the rock and roll hall of fame admission
  16. brooklyn baby is like a poem i looooved the picture book line
  17. I only hadn't listened to brooklyn baby as I couldn't find a download link and it wasn't on vevo at the time. I'm about to listen to it right now but still don't know about snippets
  18. oh my godddddd. At this point I haven't even listened to Brooklyn Baby. Tempted to play the Black Beauty snippet only
  19. ever considered a cover doesn't have to be a word-for-word rendition
