Regardless of my thoughts on the album (very bad) hopefully this sparks some creative upheaval in her. Pretty weird to see her break fourth wall and acknowledge her music in a sincere way. Early tracks pre-The Fame are still so fucking good and aged better than a lot of released tracks. Rock Show, Oh Well, Let Love Down etc. will always have a place in my heart. I found on the writing on Chromatica really strong actually I just can't tolerate the fake theatrical voice she slips into a lot. These have been stuck in my head out of nowhere lately

Revisiting True Romance I forgot how much I used to play this at the time and how well I remember the songs after not listening for years. ??? Pretty ahead of its time

Just watched her Final Four performance. Although she sounded seriously perfect with a lot more silkiness and less grit to her voice it was pretty placid until the American Woman cover which was a knock out. Too bad that was the last song in the set I think she is very insecure about how people perceive her as an artist still and chooses to perform more covers over originals (and just the bangerz singles at that) because she feels she still has something to prove and because the viewers aren't actually her fanbase which is a shame. WTF Do I Know, and Gimme What I Want need to be performed.

Breaking Up Slowly is probably the weakest track but resigned to its own side project it would be cool so I'm here for this. Great she's still finding so many ways to be inspired musically after 15 years. I can only imagine the album title. Velvet Crowbar deserves a spot...
