It's sad how Lana probably thinks she has to 'dress down' in order to be taken seriously. Like yeah women have days where they want to dress in leggings and a plain t-shirt (and that's fine), but Lana has ALWAYS been glamorous, even before she was famous. This is why I think the person she's portraying right now isn't entirely genuine.

I don’t think we know who she is anymore. After the ‘Plain Jane’ Billboard cover last year as well as the ‘Plain Jane’ photo of her sitting by the side of the highway, she’s clearly negatively reacting to her former glamorous image and saying, “I’m not that.”
 
Keep in mind that she’s been roundly criticized by the Left, by members of her own party, many of whom are feminists against the glamorization of women, which they consider a male plot to keep women oppressed.
 
Personally, I think she’s going through an identity crisis, or coming out of one, which is to be expected, perhaps, for someone who has assumed numerous identities over the last ten years or so, each with its own set of expectations.
 
That’s why the NFR cover art will tell us a lot—not necessarily who she is or ‘ really is,’ but at least how she is projecting herself to the world now.

I miss when Lana and Barrie were together. Not only did we get UV but overall I just like their vibe as a couple.

i won't go into deep details but back in 2017 i was living a life full of privileges. i had the fakest life i could ever ask for. i wasn't happy inside, but all the bling made me kinda forget about my inner issues.
 
last year i didn't have all of that anymore but i still managed to do things people wouldnt expect from me. so i was living a fake life again. around people that are just as fake and empty.
 
but that only made me even more depressed and now im feeling the worst i have EVER felt. my illness has gotten worse and that makes me behave like a fucking dumbass.
 
i think lana is going through the exact same thing. i obviously dont hate on her because of this behavior, because i understand her.
 
i literally couldnt care less about my life anymore. i wish i could lock myself up far away from everyone. she has expressed these feelings as well. even recently.

tbh the people on this site are the most cynical about it (which is right, because the poems are ass imo) but from what i’ve seen from most of her fans on it and twitter that i guess we could call ~locals~ (lmao) they’re all dying for it. and if she’s only releasing it in LA then it’s going to sell out anyway because scalpers who don’t even know anything about her know that she’s a celebrity and can extort actual fans on ebay. whether local fans will go on ebay to buy the hiked up book, i doubt many, but the direct sales of the book’ll be covered immediately by scalpers.

deadass i am so tired of people coming in here going “why are you guys so mad?? it must be interscope/ben/the rockwell estate/etc!” not saying i expect everyone to know everything and read the 1000 pages but the condescending attitude that comes along with it is annoying as hell.

I mean, the song is about a dick in the sense that it's about G-Eazy, but I think that's all. 

No I just mean maybe she took that pic as like a clue only those close to her would get at the time, and the rest of us in retrospect. Not suggesting she was on set then.

even though summer bummer wasn't all that for what could've been on the album i adore songs that fit perfectly for god-awful hot days, mid-tempo and sassy but groovy (SB isn't all of this but it hits several boxes)
