  1. "Spender". "Big Spender" is the name of the Shirley Bassey song Lana covers that is sampled in it.
  2. Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse than a shitty remix of possibly the worst song on BTD (tied with DP though the production on DMD makes it even worse) someone thought, "Why don't we bowdlerize the lyrics and have kids sing it."
  3. Even in a lame department store you can find a really cool belt.

    Blizzard

These lyrics belong in this thread.
  5. Couldn't disagree more. The purist would leave things as they are since we don't actually know how Lana intended them to be released. Absent some other information, the best default assumption is that they were arranged the way they came to us. People can arrange their personal collections however they see fit, but honestly I think my suggestion for how they should be organized on the forum is most neutral.

    Wait

The way she bends certain notes in this song (especially on the word "home")... she always was a natural.
  7. The lyrics, the melody, her voice. The loveliest of several lovely "new" tracks. So much so that her overuse of the word "alright" characteristic of this period doesn't even matter.
  8. A more religious Lana. No biggie. So blasé. Aw, sweet, if a bit desperate.
  9. Where's the option for none of the above? I fucking hate both of these options. They're terrible. I'm mostly with @@lola on this: Even though most of the existing titles are fanmade, I don't think we should completely discard the titles that everyone knows them by unless some decent receipts for these new titles being the real titles are put forward. (How do we know they're not made up?) However, I wouldn't be opposed to renaming the thread for "For K" to "For K/Drive By" and listing it as "For K" under Sirens and as "Drive By" under From the End in the "All Lyrics Thread". But I see no reason to not treat these as three separate albums that just happen to have some overlap. The idea of Sirens not being a real album is purely speculative. There's no evidence for this. There is pretty good provenance for it being real.

    For You

Lizzy's long lost gay anthem. Eat your heart out Gaga. Stefani, you suck. inb4 I make a "Did Dan Savage plagiarize Lana Del Rey?" thread. How much you wanna bet she played this at her Cattyshack gig? Hmm, maybe there's something to @@lola's conspiracy theory after all. #LezzyGrant #vague as usual Drug references or an admission of murder? @@SitarHero #lanalysis

    For You

All these feelings I'm tired of them Ruling over my life again Emotions aren't my friend I keep them ordered as best I can I can, you can, we can, [do?] can Keep it all together Layman, workman, his man, her man How about about the weather? All these people I'm tired of them Sifting into my life again Their questions, the how and when I try and answer the best that I can but I can, you can, we can, [do?] can Keep it all together Layman, workman, his man, her man How about about the weather? [All/Oh,?] my worries, they come and go They tend to leave when I let you know On bad days I take it slow I try to dance when I hit a low I can, you can, we can, [do?] can Keep it all together [Hitman/hit man?], [burn man?], his man, her man It will all get better Oh, the days they go so fast I can't believe what is in my past The future's here at last I don't need to have what she has I can, you can, we can, [do?] can Keep it all together [Hitman/hit man?], [burn man?], his man, her man It will all get better Sing it out Sing it loud Sing it out Sing it loud Be proud Come out Be proud Come out I can, you can, we can, [do?] can Keep it all together [Hitman/hit man?], [burn man?], his man, her man We can make it better, yeah We will have it better

  21. No, Juliette met Lana way before that negative tweet when they were both guest performers during Mando Diao's MTV Unplugged performance. That's partly why it was so awkward. I talked about it starting at about 7:40 in Part 2 of my Lana Del Reydio podcast.
  22. Let's not forget the fact he ripped off the title of the song he contributed to the soundtrack ("100$ Bill") from Lana.
