well hello let’s celebrate that! me personally i’m not as excited as i was when the singles dropped back in september. for those of you who still have within an ounce of excitement left, congrats! you’ve made it
i think my favorite part about this era wasn’t the actual music, being on here with you guys really cheered me up and i’m glad i joined the party eventually (better late than never eh?)

Hawaiian Mazes really had to carry the weight of being the best song of the record and i applaud it for it’s strength considering how good every song is

soooooo pretty!!! my local record store is ordering the white vinyl for me and i’m excited to get the call from them that it’s arrived. also not sure if that’s different than the “milky clear” vinyl? i can’t find much information on that one...

granted we have no indication the racist lyrics are actually hers but similar to what others have said, she has absolutely used racial stereotypes/romanticised eras and imagery which have strong ties to white supremacy and overall she's been incredibly ignorant whenever she's opened her mouth
if these lyrics are real and she's gonna go ahead with them, i can't help but think given the mess of this era and her reluctance to release anything that it may be a purposeful move on her part to say what she wants to say and then just quit. yes it'd be in the worst possible way and people will go crazy over it (and rightly so) but it's also gonna get a lot of media attention and it'd be her retiring from music or whatever with a pretty big explosion 
 
i feel contempt from her and this would be such a contemptuous way to flex her artistic licence, suggest "it wasn't intended as racism" when called out on it, but also get a tonne of sales/streams due to curiosity

gone is like unlock it’s more sophisticated, mature older sister. i don’t get how this is “trying hard to get number 1” when all i hear is an extension to the pop 2 sound (ignoring 1999 and blame)
at least popjustice is stanning hard for this, rightfully deserved

This. The Angels def know how to suck the joy out of some great things by bringing up what wasn't/what could have been. Like can we not just let XCX World (which we have in full) be a moment on its own in our fandom and move on? Charli is in a good place finally releasing a whole ass project that she loves with label support, which, for an artist of her stature with her project history, is a wonderful feat.  

XCX world was an amazing concept and visuals were cute but Die 4, Can You Hear Me, Waterfall and Queen Lizzy are all very average to me CONTROVERSIAL I KNOW but (tamra judge voice) THATS MY OPINION

Mmmmm idk lol I remember being SO excited for Cry Baby after she posted the snippets on her instagram and with this one I'm just like :/// every time.... Idk if it's because I was more hyped for this album because Cry Baby was so amazing and we have been waiting for so long but every snippet just kills my excitement even more
