I personally think that collecting for the sake of collecting is totally fine, I think a lot of us do that on here (I legit bought both the gray vinyl edition and that iffy box set). There is nothing wrong with that. But at the same token, it is also completely valid to express criticism towards Lana's artistic and/or aesthetic directions with all her albums, let alone COCC. I for one think that the cover is absolutely terrible, literally her worst imho, but that didn't stop me from buying some merch? Just like I have a strong dislike for the NFR era, again, that didn't stop me from buying that expansive FNAC edition.

Follow up on my post. I realized while going through my collection that a lot of my stuff is very 70s and 80s influenced, with a bunch of very niche French and Québécois stuff. Here it is:

I liked your post then I saw Tame Impala. I was like

Off the top of my head: Radiohead, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Beyoncé, Fiona Apple. I mean their discographies as a whole, there are sometimes a few songs I might like, but that's usually it.

Bottom line: trying to get rid of certain labels, certain people have stuck on you isn't an easy task—in fact any attempt at trying to get rid of those just reinforce these perceptions. We live in a society... Again, before anyone comes for me, I don't agree with everything (if anything) she said both today and yesterday, but cancel/call out culture is messed up.

Remember the days where instead of lashing out at critics via Twitter rants, she'd just write songs like 'Brooklyn Baby' and actually get the last laugh and not come across as a (mostly) tone deaf fool.

Well, not that I agree with every single one her tweets, or her points, but what she is saying makes much more sense now than her incoherent mumbling yesterday. But she needs a PR person.

Lana post-Honeymoon is tired, uninspired and artistically lazy—dare I say lazy in general. She needs a long break and so do I.

When Madonna, of all people, says that you are in dire need of attention, you know you're fucked.

She is quite literally insane. I have no words. That was the single most embarassing moment as a fan of hers. Good god.
