  1. Both LFL and NFR were 4-5 tracks too long, some of these songs should've seriously been relegated to unreleased material. She needs to be more concise and coherent imho. These two albums seriously lacked clarity in ideas and weren't as cohesive as what she's previously displayed.
  2. I feel the exact same way, I feel lucky to have seen her in her prime live. I feel like she peaked in 2015 as far as vocal delivery goes and it's been kinda downhill from that point. There have been good performances ever since, but there are times it's almost cringy and awkward how little she tries and how bad she sounds. Or her still relying on that ever loud back track.
  3. watch her coming up with an even longer song title, and even more ridiculous acronym for it, on COCC
  4. just 4000 pages away from beating the NFR pre-release thread (and the drama of it all)
  5. Reviving an old thread to share, yet again, some old crappy pictures I took with my old phone from a concert.
  6. 1. 'Ultraviolence' and 'Honeymoon' 2. 'Born To Die' 3. 'Paradise' 4. 'Norman Fucking Rockwell!' 5. 'Lust for Life'
  7. 'Get Free' as always been (and will probably forever be) the only song I truly care for on 'Lust for Life'. I know it gets slandered in an out of the Lana fandom, but to me it's quintessential weird Lana and I live for it. I also think that '13 Beaches' and 'Heroine' are overrated. I honestly don't get the appeal with them, maybe a little on 'Heroine', but '13 Beaches' doesn't sound melodic in the slightest to my ears, never cared for it.
  8. This breaks will forever break my heart. "je devrais me faire une raison, essayer de l'oublier [...] même si je sais qu'il ne m'aimera jamais..."
  9. For real though, I wasn't dragging anyone. Just curious to know who on here is a fan of TSwift. We like what we like. I'm sure some of you would think I have questionable taste in music (not that Taylor is questionable per se to begin with though).
  10. I know some of you don't want to have a cover on this album, but I would actually be down for Lana to close COCC with a cover of 'Moon River'.
  11. That's fair criticism I think, not everyone has good parenting exemple and some younger fans were/are indeed impressionable by all of that, but to say that listening to Lana Del Rey makes or made you want to have a sugar daddy is a bit far fetched in my honest opinion (or in that specific context made one think that pedophilia was actually acceptable, it was a poor joke she retweeted and I think that's the end of it really). But that was not my experience with her music when I first started listening to her in 2012. There's a difference between listening to Lana from that time period and understanding that this is all a persona she was portraying through her music and visuals and growing personal issues from that I think. Was it problematic? Absolutely. But a persona or highly fictional perspective nonetheless. I personally can't really relate to that, but I know there are probably fans out there that thought all of this was acceptable and that's also a valid personal experience. I hope they are doing fine today. TL;DR: It was questionable and of poor taste for her to retweet that, but I'm sure she grew out of that, and also she wouldn't go back to some of her earlier lyricism. I mean, she doesn't even want to sing 'Ultraviolence' anymore and she cringes on stage singing 'Gods & Monsters', so there's definitely been growth in that regard.
  12. I would've thrown "sorority", "wannabe influencer/instabaddie" and "trust fund" in there as well, but you're getting the gist of it.
  13. They haven't been photographed together since like 2014 (though I could be wrong). But I agree, I feel like they just don't have that mother/daughter relationship. I don't feel like she genuinely hates her, but like you said, she just isn't that close to her and that's totally valid I think.
  14. It's all speculations.
  15. Remember when Lana did a whole photoshoot with Maxim magazine, but the actual interview that came along was a total slander.
  16. I've been told repeatedly my some self-proclaimed "well informed" LB users that Patty is apparently a shit mom, never verified if those accusations were true though. Although I assume Lana would probs have good reasons to not care for her anymore, like going as far as claiming Candace as her own mom.
  17. Patty has been replaced with Candace, didn't you know? yes, my insta is in French
  18. The album's title sounds conceptual enough, however I don't know if Lana has the will power to fully commit a conceptual album. If she's as lazy as she's been these past two records, we can forget about it. However I'm actually a somewhat hopeful for some reason.
