  1. For real though, I wasn't dragging anyone. Just curious to know who on here is a fan of TSwift. We like what we like. I'm sure some of you would think I have questionable taste in music (not that Taylor is questionable per se to begin with though).
  2. I know some of you don't want to have a cover on this album, but I would actually be down for Lana to close COCC with a cover of 'Moon River'.
  3. That's fair criticism I think, not everyone has good parenting exemple and some younger fans were/are indeed impressionable by all of that, but to say that listening to Lana Del Rey makes or made you want to have a sugar daddy is a bit far fetched in my honest opinion (or in that specific context made one think that pedophilia was actually acceptable, it was a poor joke she retweeted and I think that's the end of it really). But that was not my experience with her music when I first started listening to her in 2012. There's a difference between listening to Lana from that time period and understanding that this is all a persona she was portraying through her music and visuals and growing personal issues from that I think. Was it problematic? Absolutely. But a persona or highly fictional perspective nonetheless. I personally can't really relate to that, but I know there are probably fans out there that thought all of this was acceptable and that's also a valid personal experience. I hope they are doing fine today. TL;DR: It was questionable and of poor taste for her to retweet that, but I'm sure she grew out of that, and also she wouldn't go back to some of her earlier lyricism. I mean, she doesn't even want to sing 'Ultraviolence' anymore and she cringes on stage singing 'Gods & Monsters', so there's definitely been growth in that regard.
  4. I would've thrown "sorority", "wannabe influencer/instabaddie" and "trust fund" in there as well, but you're getting the gist of it.
  5. They haven't been photographed together since like 2014 (though I could be wrong). But I agree, I feel like they just don't have that mother/daughter relationship. I don't feel like she genuinely hates her, but like you said, she just isn't that close to her and that's totally valid I think.
  6. It's all speculations.
  7. Remember when Lana did a whole photoshoot with Maxim magazine, but the actual interview that came along was a total slander.
  8. I've been told repeatedly my some self-proclaimed "well informed" LB users that Patty is apparently a shit mom, never verified if those accusations were true though. Although I assume Lana would probs have good reasons to not care for her anymore, like going as far as claiming Candace as her own mom.
  9. Patty has been replaced with Candace, didn't you know? yes, my insta is in French
  10. The album's title sounds conceptual enough, however I don't know if Lana has the will power to fully commit a conceptual album. If she's as lazy as she's been these past two records, we can forget about it. However I'm actually a somewhat hopeful for some reason.
  11. That I can get behind. I honestly hold on to the belief that we were robbed of 'Best America Record' as an album concept and somewhere along the way Lana decided to be half-assedly politically and socially aware, which was kinda the album's downfall on top of being drowned in cheap trap beats. I can only hope for COCC to have a concept at the time being and Lana not constantly changing her mind about it and going back to the cutting board. Espcially considering her recent, well, antics.
  12. Lust for Life exists unfortunately Might not be full of commentary songs, but I think that it was Lana's take at that and it was... what it was.
  13. I wish I still had access to those fake "official" Interscope tracklists for Ultraviolence and Honeymoon tbh
  14. I can't believe that people have been using that fake Interscope letter format for 7 years straight, the clownery of it all
  15. the subtext to this picture is oddly fitting.
  16. Trap beats and corny contemplative lyrics?
  17. West Coast

    Thunder

I honestly like the simplicity of the lyrics on here tbh.
  18. Yeah just go on YouTube and watch her performances of 'Cola' from 2014, you'll find what you are looking for.
  19. She used to open her shows in 2014 singing "Let the light in, let the light shine, it's a cruel world" as a sort of intro right before 'Cola'. I don't think that was an official song, just random lines she used to sing before every show.
