Chemtrails was exactly the album I wanted from her. Achingly beautiful and wistful ballads. Now I’m ready for some fire (please no trap/hip hop though, nothing against those genres overall but I would just prefer not that from Lana, also I can’t see that ending well for her right now). alongside hoping for some disco (the song) energy, I would kill for full songs with the vocals from the dance till we die bridge. That instrumentation too tbh. It’s so fuckin good. also, speaking of how realistic this may or may not be, I certainly am not banking on anything happening june 1st, but I find it hard to believe that she would make that announcement if the album wasn’t at least kinda close to being done. also I still can’t find where tap music liked this post and I’m trying because that would be a shock

She shared a gorgeous new snippet through an Instagram filter. It looked like whoever was there with her was still working on the song but it sounded like it could be close to done. maybe we will just get a single by the end of the month and an announcement of an album to come out in the next few months.

Reviving this dead ass thread to say I’d never listened to him till 5 minutes ago and the 4 singles released for his upcoming ep are absolute BOPS. His voice is so sexy and he brings the drama. first time is so beautiful it’s exhausting

album of the year is 84 tho and that one isn’t weighted so it’s actually more fair! It’s got a *must listen* tag on AOTY as well!

I have decided to be happy with the reviews whatever they are. Pitchforks review was less an album review and more a commentary on her as a persona and as a person, though I found it at least mildly interesting.

The bridge in Dance Till We Die is legitimately brilliant. I’d kill for an entire album with this energy.

idk if it’s a whole new album, but on the Twitter post she made with the snippet a fan asked when it was coming and she herself responded “end of March”. Next week seems likely!

I jumped when I saw this thread updated. I check every day to see if she has said anything new. The snippet sounded AMAZING and could be one of her best imo. It’s a bit more mid tempo (which for her is high tempo). I’d heard rumors she was supposed to release something this month (one of them through Ethel Cain’s Twitter) and I’m hoping we get a surprise, but it would also not be a shock for this month to come and go with nothing.

SAME. I ordered the hoodie with violets on it in December and I have not seen hide nor hair of it yet. I had gotten an email saying it was expected at the end of February and then crickets. No hoodie and no further info as of yet. my box set of Chemtrails has in fact shipped but my target edition stuff remains sitting in some warehouse I’m sure.

I know some folks have already mentioned this but my target order for the alt cover stuff isn’t supposed to de delivered until a month from now. Like wtf did I even preorder it for then??? Hopefully the box set arrives sooner. (also I’m still waiting on a violets hoodie I bought as a gift in early December lol)

If it means she’s gonna keep pumping out albums I’m down I’ll take one album of covers ranging from beautiful folk, to Americana, to traditional county, I’ll take one album rife with drama reflecting on her recent controversies, please and thank you.

I hate that I care so much about reviews. That’s got me on the edge of my seat. I know I love the album. I know it’s largely divisive. Now I just wanna know what its album of the year critic and user score will be once it’s been out for a week.

Sick of this orange trees slander. One the only tracks from L+F I would still voluntarily listen to. The backing vocals are heavenly.

I’m intrigued but I’m not excited. I loved melodrama but it kind of aged like milk for me. the songs are good but they feel left in that year if you know what I mean and I never really want to listen to them.
