Listen to Brite Lites when you are hungry and you get this:
I gave you everything
I gave you everything
Give me the fried rice
Give me the fried rice

Lolita
I know that I'm a mess with my long hair and my sun tan,
Short dress, therapy. (bare feet)
Go Go Dancer
They call me Firecracker, an alcohol disaster. (and alcohol's a factor)

Just thought of another "National Anthem" lyric I used to mishear.
"Take me to the Hamptons, pick out your favorite rock," instead of "Take me to the Hamptons, Bugatti Veyron."
Which, as a Long Islander, it seemed to work out for me, since I was thinking of a beach out in the Hamptons with rocks to sit on, or maybe the love interest was telling her to pick out her favorite ring at a jeweler...wuteva wuteva i hear wut i wahn

And K is just a pony. All right, mystery solved. Reality pales in comparison to the fantasy. Next.
Ponies, for some reason, always make me want to cry.

In "Paradise" she says, "Rock you like a real bad baby" and I thought she said "Bought you like a realtor, baby" :')

"National Anthem [Demos]"
After Lana says, "Um, do you think you'll buy me lots of diamonds?" I used to think the guy said,
"Yes, and also, a gun."
Finding out that it was actually "Yes, of course I will, my darling," was a bittersweet experience.
"Boarding School"
I thought it was "You're crashing on Wall Street while I'm blowing a passive singer."
Sometimes I like to still convince myself that Lana says that.
"Ride"
I hear "You can be my photon, daddy, white and gold," though it seems it's definitely "full-time daddy," photon just seems so right to me.
"Summer of Sam"
I used to hear, "Baby, I'm a ten-minute girl."
"Radio"
I still hear "Wake me up and take me like a vitamin," every now and again.
I'm sure I've misheard other lyrics, as well, but those are the only ones I can recall.

Also in TIWMUG, it says "high heels in her hand". I always thought it said "flyers in her hand" and had this image of a drunk girl passing out flyers for something on the side of the road while Lana just leans against a chain link fence and smokes a cigarette..
It's a beautiful image, I tell you. It really is.

Why are misheard lyrics so unbelievably funny? I have a headache now from laughing.
This is amazing. I want to make a song now called Ridin' His White Pony Named Kevin. This might be my very favorite misheard LDR lyric.
This just reminded me of when BEEPERS were around and people would beep 143 as a code for "I love you."
Oh my god, take me to the German pig. Another song i'm going to make.
Me too.

In BTD, I always thoughts she sings:
Faith don't fail me now, instead of Feet don't fail me now.
And that just sounds so deep. I think that would be an ever better line tbh...

I misheard so many of her lyrics...and I think I still do in some of her songs.
My version of OTTR:
"...He loves me with every beat of his cooking heart
Swimming pool glimmering darling
wiping keening off my red nail polish
watch me in the swimming pool
bright blue ripple suit..."

Misheard Lana Lyrics
Here is where we can post lyrics that we've misheard in Lana's songs.
Be sure to post the real lyric, too.
I'll start:
In Diet Mountain Dew it says:
"There in his white Pontiac Heaven"
I thought it said:
"Ridin' his white pony named Kevin"
I know, embarrassing
Can't wait to read some of yours!

I'm sorry if this has already been posted somewhere ... EVERY time I see Lana sing "Without You" she tears up at "can you picture it, that life we could have lived." Any idea why? I can't figure out if this song is about alcohol or K. or something else entirely.

It seems like the start of what turns into an abusive relationship. The end hints at a darker progression of the relationship. You get a happy bride, a sensual woman, in love and getting married - but by the end, she's kneeling ALONE in church, a white dove on the floor, turning back to look ... at what? Her past? Peering into her future? It's gorgeous; this might be my new favorite Lana video after Born To Die. The simplicity, the haunting vibe, the vague sense of creepiness - it's just perfect. And WOW she has never looked better!
