Poor Barrie is probably sticking a pin in his Francesco voodoo doll as he Google Translates this.

Lana Del Rey's boyfriend Francesco Carrozzini: I never thought our love would be so strong

What was your sexiest shoot so far?
[He talks about his work.] And of course let's not forget about my girlfriend Lana.

Okay but which one? You have been with Lana Del Rey for about a year now and you've done two shoots. You also shot the video for Ultraviolence, which has a high sexual dosage.
That's not the sexy shoot I was talking about though. It's always harder to work with someone for a long time if you have known each other for a while. I have my experiences with that, since I've been working with my mum for years.

Let's talk about your relationship with your girlfriend...
I moved from New York to Los Angeles for 7 months to be with her. To be honest I thought I would only stay the winter, then return back to New York and we would find a way to work it out...

So your love was stronger than you thought...
Yeah we can say that. We have an isolated, calm life in Los Angeles. We are in our own world. It's good for work as well, all the actors and musicians are in Los Angeles. And I work with them... We are able to take care of our jobs and go back to our shells. Our house is also not very 'in sight', it's peaceful. We surf, we ride around with motorbikes...

But both of you are very busy, how do you make time for each other?
We have to choose most of the time. Sometimes we cancel our work to spend time with each other. Or we plan around our schedules. For example I was with her on her last tour. You have to make sacrifices to make things work.

You are a well-known photographer, your family is famous, your girlfriend is a star, all the paparazzi are following you. Don't you get overwhelmed?
We have no social life anymore, because we have to protect ourselves. We don't join parties or go to invitations. And when people force me, I always make up excuses like "I'm travelling"...

It's a lot messy since it was translated from English and I had to translate it back again. And nothing interesting imo.

Those artists that you mentioned have huge sponsors behind their shows and you pay just a fraction of the costs of the show. Lana doesn't have that. People like you always vent their dissatisfaction on ticketmasters commentary section, trashing her show while, for example, she froze to death (in Chicago) just to be with people like you. She's not like Miley or Gaga, she's not an entertainer in that sense, and you could inform yourself before spending your money on her show. It's not like you lost a fortune, if you're not satisfied with her show don't go again it's that simple.

She doesn't stop. The music is still playing, she's still there. The show keeps going on. Also she's taking selfies with people who waited hours outside. They deserve it. It's not as bad.

    Keep the customer wanting more.
And for the relatively cheap price of the tickets (the GA tickets are some of the cheapest for a major star), one is more than getting their money worth.

Gordon Lightfoot never did encores and shows were always short.

And many of the songs are long, so basically 13 longer songs=25 songs if the songs were all three minutes.
The show is compact. Non stop. No encore, but no waste of 20 minutes waiting for someone to come back for the encore and the waste of time of changing clothes while
the backup singers and band perform.

Also, it is not stadiums or arena, where the majority of the names you listed are playing longer shows.

The Beatles played if lucky, about 30 minutes on their first couple of tours, and really, this is only Lana's 2nd US tour.
Most 1960s artists in their prime played short shows.
And Pet Clark and Nancy Sinatra didn't even do an hour at their solo shows.
And many also do medley's of five or six songs strung together.

I understand that, but there's more to it than that. Let's not forget that Lana has openly talked about her struggles with severe anxiety and stage-fright, and she's only recently started to sound seriously amazing live. Some artists can handle stage-fright (like Madonna) and others can't.  It's possible she just can't do more than 13 or so songs without struggling.  I'd rather have a short, amazing concert than a long, crappy one. On that note, her voice might not be able to handle more, either. I used to perform classical and opera concerts locally, and the most I could ever do was 12 songs. Then my voice went to hell.  If Lana has a similar problem, she has every right to stop when she feels like it. Plus, it's common knowledge that her concerts run short. I knew that when I got my tickets, and it went longer than I expected, to be honest. I'm definitely not trying to argue or be a brat, but I just think there are a lot of elements to take into consideration. Whatever she chooses to do is her prerogative. No one is being forced to see her or pay money without checking into how long her concerts generally run.

I feel SO bad for Dallas fans, but I'm upset with everyone on facebook complaining that it's Lana's fault. Everyone on this thread made excellent points.

She was in the Detroit area tonight to a 15,000+ audience, and she was BRILLIANT. Anyone complaining about Grimes or a 13 song set can HUSH because man, she was brilliant.  Grimes was fun and a nice way to open, and Lana was insanely good. Gorgeous vocals and a kicker stage-set.  I loved the NYC look. 13 songs is A LOT OF SONGS - I sang myself almost hoarse just singing along; I can't imagine how anyone does more than that and manages to still tour. She's perfect. It was about an hour and a half and I loved every second.

She received a lot hateful criticism for that night and I don't understand as it was beyond her control. She has an album coming out in September so I imagine she will tour to support that record.

I feel like a stalker. I had to search it myself to see what political party she is. Not that I'm surprised, but I just love her more and more every day!

It bothers me, too - mainly because it's such a small point, it doesn't seem worth lying about - whether she was forced to or chose to.  And partly because I liked being the same age as Lana. haha

But it DOES make sense, time-line-wise.  I kept thinking, "All these things she's talking about, you can't fit all that in between ages 14-28."  She said she was in boarding school 4 years, she was with K two or three years, with that executive guy for SEVEN years, etc.  Add in Alabama and Brooklyn, and even with cross-over events it's lacking a good year or more to make sense.

    She IS an enigma!

I would love to see her live. Never have. One thing from all the live concert footage I have seen on youtube,
is the fans singing along loudly to a lot of it. For me that soooo ruins the fun of a great show. I would hope
they have her and band loud enough (like heavy rock shows), whereby it drowns out the fans. Why the F***
do they need to sing out loud to it all? It ruins it IMO. Totally. I'd be there for hearing Lana and band only.
But I love the screaming energy of the fans when she comes on stage..

Don't understand all the hate for this so far. It sounds so angelic and heavenly to me, I'm currently in tears at how good this is. I hope we get the full song soon, it's so beautiful. And y'all are so pessimistic about Dan Heath's works, I've actually loved most of the stuff he's produced with Lana, my personal favorite being Bel Air.
(although I can understand the Big Eyes mess though)
