  1. Thunder Revenant

    BANKS

    It's just a standalone single
  2. Hubris is such a perfect track! The synths have this almost organ-esque, dramatic vibe and the beat is just PERFECT!
  3. I hate the song but ... complaining that a Lana Del Rey song sounds like Lana Del Rey (even though I don't even agree with her on that, I think it sounds like a Weeknd track) is just petty ... but look at the gal who wrote the article ... just another generic white girl with tumblr and twitter writing reviews. Who care for what she says?
  4. OH MY GOD I'M SO EXCITED! I wonder if there will be a Deluxe version .. this Sevdaliza News site said there would be one. They were almost right about the number of tracks on ISON aswell as the interludes, so maybe the deluxe thing is true aswell ... On the other hand, it's not too hard to guess Sevdaliza would put interludes on the album. Talking about the snippets/tracklist: I'm honestly a bit suprised that Human isn't the opener,, for some reason I've always assumedit would be ever since I've heard it. Shahmaran is obviously a reworked version of Underneath, or at least it's heavily sampling the track. I looked up the title, and it's the name of a Goddess Of Wisdom from a middle eastern mythology. The lines about dying and being ressurected pretty much fit the story about this deity. I seemingly remembered right, when I thought I read Marilyn Monroe would be on Ison. I wonder if she has changed anything about MM or Amandine Insensible. Especially the transition between MM and Hubris ... Talking about the track, judging from the snippets I guess it will be my favourite song on ISON. It perfectly fits the two Children Of Silk tracks. The inclusion of Language Of The Limbo is not that suprising, when you think that it's the least soundtrack-ish one from the Formula and that a solo-studio verson leaked a while ago. The beginning of the Grace snippet sounds a lot like "GR", so this was probably a demo or maybe a part of the track (?) - no matter what, it sounds great. When i Reside and Do You Feel Real are most likely interludes, the latter one somehow reminds me of the scene in Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, where the Evil Queen is transforming into her hag form... Talking about the "new" tracks, I think the two most exciting ones for me are Replacable and Scarlette. Scarlette has a very Massive Attack-ish vibe and Replacable sounds pretty jazz-ish, which I really really really enjoy a lot. She never actually said that it would be part of ISON, unlike with Human, Hero and Hubris (obviously). She also mentioned Amandine Insensible and Marilyn Monroe making a return. She never talked about Time being more than just a single though. I wonder which one of the tracks is the "old" one that was written a few years ago ...
  5. What is the point of releasing it in June though? Everyone has heard all the tracks by now.
  6. Honeymoon > Born To Die > Ultraviolence >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Lust For Life Honeymoon is just such a wonderful, beautiful song, I think it's the most magic itle track she's ever done, especially since it could have just been a stand-alone song without an album and still shine in it's full beauty. I love the escapism-topic, I love the verses and I love how it's crafted in a musical way. Born To Die has all the elements the album had (dramatic vocal delivery, lyrics about tragic love and bad boys, walls of violins with a few guitar strings peaking out here and there, bold hip hop beats and he Emile-samples). It's pretty iconic and it was created to be THE Lana Del Rey anthem. Ultraviolence is a great song and I love how it mixes up the more classic Lana sound with the UV rock vibes. Her voice sounds so Siren-esque and I love how low-fi it is. However, even though it clearly IS a title track and was basically made to be one, it's not as outstanding as BtD or HM. Lust For Life, apart form being a generic, basic and forgetable pop track, does not sound like a title song at all. It#s single material for the GP and it makes the album seem like it was just randomly named after one of the singles.
  7. I don't get why she changed OHDH, the new version sounds unfinished and like a bad remix. It's still a nice track but I think she didn't improve it with those production changes. It's pretty noisy and the old one using the disortet vocal samples was much better.
  8. Need You sounds pretty nice, even though chorus sounds a bit weird. Simon Says is not as good as I expected it to be but it's still ok.Vintage is basic. All in all, it's better than CX 1 but nothing too exciting ... so basically, what I was expecting from her.
  9. Shit I missed it ... did someone record it?
  10. I'm afraid it won't come today ... but I'd guess either way tomorrow (friday and stuff) or within the next two weeks.
  11. At least for me, the problem is not that she is doing pop - that's what she did on BtD and I LOVED that record to bits. The problem is the way it is executed. I feel like it's just so hectic and generic, it's not really sticking out of the usual top 10 radio charts mush that you hear everywhere right now. It's forgetable and I can't detect the Lana Del Rey-touch that is usually applied to everything she does - if it wasn't for her voice on it. The track could have been done by pretty much any pop gurl that is featured on a Chainsmokers EDM single.
  12. So you are not a fan if you don't support stuff you don't like? It's not even like those guys basged her, they just expressed their dislike.
  13. Y'all constantly whine about songs not being officially released, yet you do anything to make her scrap content. She's seemingly aware of what hapoens with her music online and she likes to do stupid things (like pre-order bonus tracks limited to some trashy music site, release dates in June, hinting songs she then does not release anyway or write cringy songs like That's So Us), so do you really want her to have a crap attack and ruin the era by doing Allie-things before it has even startet?
  14. Sorry hun, I still think this track is trash and on the same weak level as Halseys new track. And don't bring up that damn Lorde conversation, because I didn't even bring her up in the first place.
  15. At least wait a bit, it's 7.00 am in the Netherlands
  16. I don't agtee with Froot being a TFJ 2.0.It had a much cleaner, more polished and pop-isher sound than EH did, even though Marina tried hard to appeal to the indie-tumblr-blogs again. I also doubt we'll get another EH, since even though the tracks had those big electro-dance-pop influences, they were actually much more than just this with that slightly dark and bitter vibe and the concept and everything. I hope she delivers the album Froot (the track) was promising us. A fun, dance-y, colorful and slightly weird sound
  17. And still you are "ignorant" towards other people's music preferences when they are not equal to yours. But yeah, there is no use in "discussing" with you.
  18. yadda yadaa yadda, everyone who does not share your taste has a bad one. Ok, everyone heard it.
  19. you seemingly do I think every time you try to dismiss people who don't share your music taste as "faux indie" fans, Mariah fails one of her playbacks. Especially with your pathetic attempt to make this about another artist when it's not.
  20. and you are seemingly extremely childish aswell. bye gurl
  21. Funny thing that the only people doing that are the ones disagreeing with people NOT liking it
  22. Yawn, I never talked about Lorde. And I most definitly never said that Green Light is not generic. But at least it shows some sort of artistic profile, it's a great, fun Lorde track. LfL is on the same trashy level as everything Abel does. As much recognition value as anything the Chainsmokers do. If she wanted to do radio friendly, popish music, she could have done it in a less forgetable way, while still keeping the "LDR touch" - just as she did with Born To Die. At least you seem to really have a terrible reading comprehension cause I never said that. Lol.
  23. I can't with all that obscure comparances to whatever kind of genre or artist. It's a pretty generic, radio friendly pop duet, not really sticking out. Boring and uninspired.
