Tried to get into this track, but nah ... the whole thing is so generic and boring and her vocals sound ugly. She has a nice voice, but I'd prefer some Hurricane-esque performances

This is PERFECT! The only thing that I don't like too much is the bold Lana Del Rey logo. Sad that we'll never get something as interesting as this for an actual album cover ...

I LOVE this Fader article! I did not know ISON is the name of a comet. The similarities to Portishead and Bjork's Homogenic were stuff I also thought of a lot when hearing ger music. Imagine how great a Massive Attack collab would be!

How do you want to know how the album is going to sound after one song and a Lana monologue? Just cause of what Lana said, are you actually expecting an album of upbeat tracks?

Seeing how the Lust For Life trailer has a witch theme and is slightly humorous, "especially on Tuesdays" could refer to Terry Pratchett's 1988 novel "Wyrd Sisters". The book parodies Shakespeare's "Macbeth" and there is a variation of the "When shall we three meet again? In thunder, lightning or in rain?" dialogue between the three witches. In Pratchett's book, the question is answered by another witch with "Well, I can do next Tuesday".

Still don't get how BAR is not fitting the "ghost of Hollywood" vibe. And please ... Love's SOUND has nothing to do with both spacy and witchy themes, but here it is

I thought Badlands had a bunch of good songs and a lot of potential but it seems she chose to take the commercial and uninspired road ... Her vocals sound really meh, the lyrics are not impressive and the song is forgetable and lacks any excitement. Maybe there will be a few less Chainsmoker-esque tracks with better vocals and a less generic production on the album, but I don't feel like there will be a lot of suprises or anything more "alt pop" ... The video's plot is cringy but it's still pretty intetesting compared to the generic track. I love it whem she has longer hair, suits her better than this short, blonde cut.

Ugh ... it's acquirable, but not really an instant-favourite for me. Gonna have to get into it a bit to fully appreciate it I guess ... I hope the album will have more tracks in the line of Amandine Insensible, Time and Human, but it's good to see we'll probably get some diversity with tracks like Hero.

yeah, but I don't know where else you get that "60s" vibe from. Nothing about it is anythi g near the sound of that time.And I don't think the song is dark at all, it's pretty light and soft. The only thing I can hear is the "futuristic" beat

That's GREAT! She always has great covers but Vespertine is among the most visually pleasing ones! Apart from that, it's one of my favourite albums by her

It's ok. Nothing great or original and her vocals seem ... sped up. Not here for this rushed way to sing but whatever ... seems like H2 will be much more straightforward pop.

Collabing with the Weeknd puts her on the same level as Halsey though. He's just another pretentious "alternative" pop artist

Well we don't know how they got involved, maybe they just met and decided to play around with those inspirations. Didn't Lana once taljed about a documentary movie about drug abuse that inspired her for the track? I still don't see any clear indicator for FK being a supposed movie soundtrack song.

This is pure speculation, there was never an indicator that it was meant for a movie.

Yeah, it's a REFERENCE but nothing that happens is cultish. I'm pretty sure the original UV video would have included some different scenes. The Freak video literally repeats scenes from the first verse during the bridge, the scenes during the second verse don't make sense and the second chorus looks like a gif. There were definitly parts that were not used, so there was probably a different plot. But the Freak video we actually got has cult REFERENCES but the plot seems to be that they hallucinate after drinking the kool Aid - esque drink. And those hallucibations are the girls

"Hero" is premiering this tuesday

Dark Paradise is a good track, especially the radio version. Would have had great single potential if it was released on a bigger scale with more promo

The girls in the video seem more like they are hallucinations caused by Lana and FJM taking drugs, not really like they are supposed to be cult wives.Ppl here are so stuck up with the cult idea ... obviously there are cult influences but nothing in the video actually seems like there is a plot about some sort of cult. The anticlimatic way the Freak video was cut is not really helping

The cover is nice in all it's over-the-top-ness, I like the tropical vibe ... The rip is a shame but I don't think it's a big deal
