LDR5 - Pre-Release Thread

She's so bored that she actually got this teenage snapchat sh*t ... if only there would be something more interesting to do like ... promoting her upcoming album. -
ATR is a bit bland, so is TMTD, BUT both are 100% better than this cringefest "That's So Us" and I'd prefer them on the EP

New Song Title Registered: "Lust For Life" (With The Weeknd)
Thunder Revenant replied to Sitar's topic in Latest News
Abel is terrible, I hope it's an interlude or a Starboy outtake -
It would be great if SSOI would be the lead for an album but I guess it's like "Girls On Film" - just a single she wanted to put out there. It's a wonderful track anyway SoKo was around way before Sky and her sound is much less pop.

The Weeknd is a terrible "artist" with a terrible voice and an obnoxious image. Please don't. -

It's not like it's a suprise nothing happened but the fact she has the audacity to keep on posting pointless sh*t instead of promoting her music is ... hillarious. -

Seeing how she still keeps forgetting Ride's lyrics, I'm pretty sure she does not know them by heart at this point -

If she covered AOMM, I'd love it to be more like this version and less kitschy and orchestral -

Don't even care for Love promo anymore, the track is not very exciting anyway. -

The next thing we'll get will be the album title and tracklist I guess, maybe bundled up with the album cover and a promo single. And I doubt she will anounce stuff like that. -
Even though I hope for a great album, I also hope that Masochism will flop hard considering sales. Her lazyness needs to be punished.

Is she not noticing how statements like that only upset fans by now (if they even care anymore)?

Those pointless, boring and extremely awkward to watch videos are a slap in the face of all the fans still trying to be excited after she left Love dying. If I got a dollar everytime someone on this forum calls pop music "jazz", I'd be rich by now. Did any of y'all EVER listen to jazz music or do you just like the word because Lana keeps on using it? -

´that salty comment of yours though Now I just want to see she's not collabing with Abel and I'm happy. -
That actually really sounds nice If that would be the sonical direction of CB 2.0, I'd be ok with it.

So ISON is confirmed as an album title. And since she just announced an album-promo-tour in MAY that means we will get new content (and probably even the album) in the near future *-* so happy right now!

I don't get why a shorter setlist means no variation. The fact she kept the setlist from her festival tour by default is already laughable. You can play 10 songs and not do the same stuff you always do. Apart from Video Games, I don't see any obligatory tracks, she even decided to drop HBTB and WC. It's about how much you are actually willing to do things in a dynamic way and this concert did not really sparkle of enthusiasm and passion on Lana's part. -
Great band! Never realy got into the story they told with their music videos but always loved their music and visuals

How can you admit the setlist was bad and that she was passion-less and then complain about people not liking it? Makes no sense. -

SXSW showcase in Austin, March 17, 2017
Thunder Revenant replied to latothemoon's topic in 2017 Performances
If she sings old songs, she should at least perform them with some sort of passion, like with Cola and Lolita. But especially Born To Die sounds half-assed almost every time since mid-Paradise tour and Blue Jeans has lost all its magic by now. Ride sounds uninspired live amd I don't get why she still does Carmen. CW is already a drag on the album, the live version is even worse. Why the hell did she decide to keep just this song out of all the magic UV tracks, especially since she stopped doing West Coast, which was always great live. The only BtD/Paradise era track she should still do on a regular base is Video Games, the rest of the set should UV/HM and new material. So many artists perform multiple new songs live in advance, why are Lana's setlists such a bore? No excuse for that. Playing older tracks live is only cool if you have not been doing them for a while.
