Yeah, it's a REFERENCE but nothing that happens is cultish. I'm pretty sure the original UV video would have included some different scenes. The Freak video literally repeats scenes from the first verse during the bridge, the scenes during the second verse don't make sense and the second chorus looks like a gif. There were definitly parts that were not used, so there was probably a different plot. But the Freak video we actually got has cult REFERENCES but the plot seems to be that they hallucinate after drinking the kool Aid - esque drink. And those hallucibations are the girls

Dark Paradise is a good track, especially the radio version. Would have had great single potential if it was released on a bigger scale with more promo

The girls in the video seem more like they are hallucinations caused by Lana and FJM taking drugs, not really like they are supposed to be cult wives.Ppl here are so stuck up with the cult idea ... obviously there are cult influences but nothing in the video actually seems like there is a plot about some sort of cult. The anticlimatic way the Freak video was cut is not really helping

The cover is nice in all it's over-the-top-ness, I like the tropical vibe ... The rip is a shame but I don't think it's a big deal

I doubt there will be a Ono/Sean collab, more like a John Lennon cover. And even if, everything is better than The Weeknd's generic ass music and bad voice

I thought there was a bunch of nice West Coast remixes, especially the ones by "The Young Professionals". Ultraviolence, Blue Jeans and National Anthem also had a few nice ones. I think remixes can be pretty good, especially when they are not just club-friendly mixes but actual re-arrangements that result in a new "version" of the track (look at Kris' great work for example)

So ... we know The Weeknd cowrote Lust For Life and he may be around for a duet aswell. Courtney will seemingly be around and there is SOMETHING involving John Lennon's legacy ... most likely a cover or maybe a collab with Sean Lennon or Yoko Ono. I think if those collabs are used in the right way, they could work out pretty well (even though I still hate Abel's generic music and ugly voice)

I'd prefer 12 tracks featuring Ono over one featuring Abel.

Well, the way she says "just send them my LOOOOVE" makes it obvious there are other song titles/lyrics hidden in there

I love it when she shows some humor! I know there will be some tumblr gays who will put it on a melodramatic faux-deep level, just like they did with Tropico and High By The Beach but whatever ... It's a fun concept, I love how it has this Addams Family/ The Munsters vibe! I hope she keeps that visual style for the album cover! I also wonder why noone has actually brought up that she's transparent, so she's more like a ghost-witch. I just hope BAR/Architecture/whatever it's called is on the album AND I PRAY TO JOHN THAT THE WEEKND IS JUST A COWRITER ON THE TITLE TRACK!

BAR is a song about someone who "did it all for fame" ... how the hell is that not fitting the "ghost-witch living in a Hollywood-Sign" concept?

If Lana decides to scrap it then there is no way of changing it anyway but I don't get how you can be THAT greedy ... it's a perfect track and I'd love it to be released officially in a slightly finished form

I love the Addams family vibes! I lovevit when she shows some humor, just like with the HBTB video. So, LDR5 is called Lust For Life ... And Abel cowrote the title track ... oh well. I really really really hope BAR is still on it though, it's such a fantastic song and it would fit this "Ghost Of Hollywood" thing :3
