the problem with promo is thst the artist needs to be willing to promote. Lana, even thoug hshe seems to love her stuff, is not enthusiastic enough to do more than some half-assed instagram clips or streams.

The pic looks like it's from a 90s shampoo commercial and the album title sounds equally kitschy. The only hope I have is that maybe sche went all-corny on purpose, but I'm afraid she just completely melted into a 14 year old's tumblr blog

And btw, there are a lot of indie artists who are a lot more active than Lana. Y'all can try to talk yourself into it, but there are a lot much better options to present your art without "selling out" or "playing games at Jimmy Kimmel". Fact is that her instagram stuff is cute, but pretty lazy cause it's almost all she does. A lot of artists with a lot less budget and a much less mainstream audience deliver great stuff for their fans without "selling out".

I don't even get why you all act as if it would be a fans duty to care for an artists success and try to buzz up their sales. If the artist herself does not care for promoting her stuff, she won't start doing it just because Love gets some extra streams

Cool if she's happy, would be even cooler if she could take her "promo" out of the LQnes of Instagram. It's not like the only other option would be to completely sell out. You can do nice small things for your fans without it being a potatoe-quality mess.

I'd rather have an indie sound than a more pop-ish album. Some more guitar/indie-rockish driven stuff would be great for Lana. She always nails it live. And I think a collab with Miles could actually end up in a very promising way.

There is always someone else releasing something and it's not like Ed has the same audience Lana has or at least he is noone that will be compared to her. And I think "big event" is saying a bit too much. It's not like it's an Adele album announcememt or a Beyonce release.
