  1. I'd like to see y'all faces when you try to come for Lana's beauty.
  2. Why is this fanbase so torn? Some people complain about every little stupid thing, some other would praise and defend her for any kind of shit. Especially the playback discussion. Brit not singing live is nothing new so noone expects it from her anyway, still it's definitly not an indicator for artistic quality to do it. Same for the photoshoots. Of course she still looks good but of course they photoshop her because they do it with everyone and of course she's not looking like a 18yo anymore cause SHE ISN'T. Same for Glory. It's up to everyone's taste to decide how they like it but it's definitly not something that's pushing boundaries. In neither a positive nor negative direction. Just chill a bit everyone
  3. People tend to overrate all the pre BTD era stuff, especially all of the acoustic thi gs
  4. Looking at vids like CB or the recent double feature, she should not do it for the sake of it. The visuals are nice but the content's boring.
  5. I hope it's just the Mwah single cover. I don't like the other one aswell, but this new one is boring af
  6. Just listened to the album a second time. Do You Wanna Come Over? is still my favourite, followed by Just Like Me and Change Your Mind. Make Me, What You Need, Better and Slumber Party are pretty nice aswell. Just Luv Me and Love Me Down are cute. The rest of the album is pretty forgettable though and I generally think this album is not really not one of her strongest ones, inferior to Blackout, In The Zone and Circus but better than BJ.
  7. The radio edit of both Summertime Sadness and Dark Paradise are actually aging better than the original versions
  8. Videos for Mrs. P Head and Pacify Her wpuld really not fit. I hope she ends it with Mad Hatter, NOW.
  9. The first version of the cover was better.
  10. She should droo it, it's getting boring. The visuals are nice but the story is just ... ugh. The outfit in TYI was cool though, her look really improved for the last 3 vids.
  11. Y'all are already overrating this like hell

I just hope Altar will be more diversive and dynamic than Goddess and that we didn't just heard the most outstanding tracks (FWM, GF) already ...
  13. Do You Wanna Come Over is the best track from Glory so far, but I really don't feel the album. Yeah, Brit does bubblegumpop but nothing so far was exciting in any way

    Weakest Altar-track so far though

Most of the Goddess videos were pretty boring, the only actually interesting one she had so far was FWM, so I'm not suprised GF can't hold that standard. It's nice to have it though
  16. That's not even the main problem. The songs are so different considering the topics
  17. The problem is that she insists on it being a concept album, when it's as much as a concept album as BtD
  18. Idc for music videos, but I'm excited she seemingly has the next project in the making *-*
  19. Honeymoon - 22 Music To Watch Boys To - 21 Terrence Loves You - 23 God Knows I Tried - 17 Art Deco - 21 Religion - 22 Salvatore - 18 The Blackest Day - 22 24 - 9 Swan Song - 21
  20. I'm not familiar with the last SV album, but considering Abyss, it's the perfect example of how you do a cohesive yet extremely diversive album (unlike HM). The album has a pretty ongoing atmosphere, yet the songs are pretty different. Some are soft, some are heavy, some are raw, some are acoustic, some are overloaded with disortion ... I don't want to write an examn about Abyss because this is a LDR thread, but I still think saying HM is diversive just because all songs are not identically the same is wrong, the overall mood/atmosphere/tempo ... just the general feeling and sound of HM is just extremely undiverse. Unlike UV for example, which was cohesive yet had some diversity
  21. Both of the album you try to compare HM to are terrible. Taylor is the definition of generic pop and 25 was only successful because everyone overhyped it and praised it without even listening to this take-outs-from-my-last-album-compilation.
  22. I'm not just talking about tempo but the overall mood, production and feeling of HM. The beginning from HM to GKIT is pretty stable, apart from MTWBT which is still not a major break-out. And everything from AD to Salvatore has one ongoing mood and "color", same for TBD/24/SS. And even between those parts of the album, there are not any major differences considering the mood, the atmosphere, the production or the tempo. Of course, they don't sound THE SAME, but speaking about DIVERSITY considering this record seems majorly out of place.
  23. Serious question, where is the diversity? Ok, HBTB and HM are quite different, but we have only 4 kinds of songs on a 14 track album. The slow, stripped back ones (HM, TLY, GKIT, DLMBM), the slow slightly playful ones (MTWBT, Art Deco, Salvatore, Religion), the slow cinematic ones (TBD, Swan Song, 24) and HBTB & Freak, which take up a little bit of speed and have those TripHop beats. The album has pretty much one tempo and the instrumentation/production can't be called "diverse" aswell.
  24. If you think about it, it's very fitting. The album starts summery and gets darker and darker, the mood changes from damsel in distress to sad to bitter ... then, at the peek of bitterness, everything stands still snd we hear OM, Lana thinks about the better tines with another lover. And then we get TOW. It has a warm and comfortable sound, yet the lyrics fit the dark story of UV. Kind of a moment of kalopsia, everything gets this retro-filter. Yet, this does not change anything about the sad truth: the other woman will die alone
