I'm surprised to hear people connecting to the message, not because I don't believe in it, but because it feels super hollow.

She does strike me as an anxious introvert. Tbh none of the "bitchy" stuff is anything that would be out of character for me personally, so I have to give her a pass, even if she might look a lil shady once in a while

Honestly, that article is exactly how I feel about the song. It's kind of just ridiculous in it's framing and everything I don't want from a "Woke Lana makes fake deep songs about navel gazing at coachella" album.

It only happened once anyway. Lana fans are holding on to some glory days she/we never had. A shitty remix of the 3rd worst song on Born to Die was a hit 5 years ago. Great. 

The movie studio or production company probably owns the rights to that song. Not Lana or her label. Which is probably why it is still unreleased. Also it is boring.

This album is tonally all over the place but I think this is a grower. I think it'l become a bop. It's super polished for a Lana title track

and it's not like, let's say Starboy is any more generic than High By The Beach. It's actually miles better than the latter. But yeah, you will find questionable ppl in every fandom, but it's always those who are commenting on social media. Unfortunately for them, times have changed since 2012 and ppl actually track you down in 2017 in your real life for the things you post on there if they are, let's say, very specific.
