    So Emilie did produce it!

I think that beyond the leak of Love, she ended up scrapping a lot of stuff and retooling the album. She did talk about it moving in different directions, and I feel pretty confident that we were on our way to getting 15 tracks of Brooklyn Baby and Never Let Me Go, had her inspiration not changed, and to some extent, actually, had she not been working with other artists.

I can't say my ideal HM follow up was a Baez and Dylan worship album (love them tho) featuring production by FJM with a Lennon cover tacked onto the end. I think what BTD and to a lesser extent UV did was meld vintage sensibilities to the current era in a way that pushed the "nostalgic" point of view out of its comfort zone, never letting up on that dark side or the consequences of being a good girl for Jim who waits at home in her party dresses. Stuff like the National Anthem video or the pure sadness you hear in Blue Jeans, Trash, etc. Those thing, plus some more modern production and influence can be pretty vital in Lana not crossing the line to Nostalgic White Girl Born In The Wrong Era.

Yes, but on the other hand she thinks TLY and HM in general are jazz, so her track record at labeling genres is really bad basically. Lust for Life could literally be about wanting to fuck on the white house lawn at an anti war protest if Abel had anything to do with it. That's political, but is it "political"? idk. (Did Government Hooker turn into a feminist classic?..) I think I'd rather her drop less obvious but self affirming lines about breaking away from societal/political chains and such (like "I am my only god" that's a really strong, bold line) which, lyrically and visually Love seemed to be aiming for (kind mediocre on the lyrical front but..I'll take it)

"I just remember, like, being 11 years old and hearing Heart Shaped Box on TV for the first time and, like, the pairing of the guitars with Kurt's voice, kind of invoking the imagery of this West Coast-influenced, underground jazz scene, you know, and just being really struck by it. It was really my first introduction to jazz. But, like, an angrier jazz, I guess."

It was me. I thought about it immediately when she mentioned the tuesday. There's obviously a big space/moon motif here (it's one of the ingredients, right?) and the date is definitely close enough to be plausible.

It also reminded me about all the moon phase reaching people were doing for HM that's actually valid now lol

This album is going to be so iconic. "70's in spirit 90's in his frame of mind" Imagine a Yoko Ono (70's) and Courtney Love (90's) collab both on the album With Abel somewhere in there spreading his sleeze idk, he represents the current era I guess.

(We Lost track of space, lost track of time)

What I'm getting at is that BAR is def on the album.

Oh, there's also a "Pink Moon" on April 11th. It's a Tuesday but Lana doesn't really care about releasing on the proper day of the week

So, if talking about BAR was "banned" and such here so for long, can we assume that it WAS a concrete idea at some point? Or was it the fact that they knew that the song was out there and didn't want to provoke a leak. The LFL thing seems well thought out and high quality. Not like she came up with it because BAR was compromised.

If it is on the tracklist, I'm getting the feeling that it will be Architecture, and will probably sound different from whatever anyone thinks the final is.

GODDESS. This is everything I wanted and needed. My doubts are gone. Twilight Zone, witchiness, weird science, an image of the statue of liberty going out??? YES. It's all there. I will doubt no longer.
