I'm interested in the fact that he was told everybody would get in at the same time by the people who manage the twitter account/customer service. When I read the first post, I see someone disappointed and emotional and I feel empathy, even though he sounds like a drama queen to many of you. The rest of the conversation is degenerating because of the condescending and rude tone some people used to reply to his situation, it was unnecessary. I don't agree with the comparison he made, it's inappropriate, I did the same kind of thing once and apologized. Nobody is perfect. I don't know him enough to judge his character, anyway that's not the point. I agree the venue made a mistake by giving him the wrong info, but that could have been an honest mistake. I don't know. The thing is, his complain won't change a thing, and even a thousand complains wouldn't change a thing.

Okay I've read everything. It's a shame you didn't get in when you were in the queue for a long time, pretty sure that has happened to most of us at some point (even in simple things like getting into a club or something), but it really isn't worth fighting for, it's been days since the show and most likely this is not the first time shit like this has happened. And sure, we don't know you and you wanna fight for things that you want but this is just not worth it anymore, enjoy life, I don't think the venue's management will care.
 
Also by this point you should know that it's not worth getting that angry with people on the internet not agreeing with you, let alone replying with even worse things.

Yeah it can def get nasty. When I first came to this forum I had the shit ripped out of me (for something I can't remember) but you get used to it all. There are nice members on here though but unfortunately others can be assholes. Try not to let it get to you.

I'm 46 - I've been going to concerts since I was 16 years old.  I have NEVER experienced this before.  If you think that's acceptable, then that's your opinion.  If you think having your having a certain network provider should be placed over someone who has made effort then look to yourself.  I was on my own and i did not know anything about o2 people being allowed in first over people who had queued for hours.  Because you got in early, you are alright.  I'm alright Jack! F*ck the rest of you.  There are people on here who said that even though they are with o2 they thought it was unfair.

 
And no need to be so damn rude. Imagine I said something like "shes fucking naming unreleased, singing them and talking about calling fans im gonna cry" - and I responded with "GET A GRIP, GET A LIFE AND GET OVER IT."

Many people queued for hours to get the best view; I personally queued for nearly 8 before the doors opened. Many queued for much longer and some overnight. We all do what we can and put in the effort to get to the front. UNFORTUNATELY o2 priority customers were let in before anyone else, no matter what time they arrived!!!! So if you rocked up at 18.45, you got in before people who had been there all day.
 
I have been complaining about this to all sorts of people for days and when I spoke to the (very arrogant) manager 'Nigel' of Brixton Academy, he said as o2 pay masses of £'s in sponsorship, they can have whatever priorities they like and it was tough luck. (Lana's tour management people who sign the contracts in the UK told me they didn't care!)
 
Now if you had o2 and got in, then you are lucky; this complaint is not in any way about you or Lana of course but about the CORPORATE BULLSHIT that is changing the face of concert going. Knowing Lana the way we do, there is no way she would be happy about her fans being treated like this. The fans can no longer get to the front (or as close as possible) simply by putting in the effort. Fans are now discriminated against depending on what mobile company they are with and as o2 own lots of venues, this affects lots of concerts and lots of people! Nigel said he let 30 people in as they had been there overnight. At least that's something, but there were hundreds more who made a lot of effort too. I accept priority allows people a special o2 presale sometimes and also a 'VIP' bar but this is unacceptable.

I am asking for people to please support my tweet by sharing / responding to it - I am not the only person on this forum pissed off about it.
 
This is about what is right, not about whether you are happy you got in early. Sometimes you have to take a stand even if it gets you know

O2 priority people always go in first at any venue. not sure why they tweeted that. I know it's unfair but they've always done it! Change your phone to O2 haha

The o2 priority queue isn't for priority tickets it's for all o2 costumers in general (+2 people usually but sometimes it's +1 only). o2 priority tickets are something else (it's tickets that are reserved for o2 costumers only).
I don't think your complaints will get far since this is neither a new practice nor something directly related to the actual venue (o2 Brixton).

lol the guy just wants to tell his experience, tell people to complain if they feel it was unfair, he's not trying to start another French Revolution. It's a good reminder to search for as much info as you can before purchasing a ticket or heading to the venue. I always triple check everything in case I get misinformed. I try to be a well-informed consumer in general, but I still get ripped off once in a while. Venues are only interested to get your $, they don't care about their clients specific preferences (front row) or the emotional aspect. If they don't have much competition, they will keep being indifferent to clients satisfaction. C'est la vie.

Thank you for the articulate and pleasant response.  My argument isn't with Lana or her team by the way; I was just trying to find someone to speak with about it. (though being told they didn't care was disappointing).

I was also at the front of the other line it was such a mess the security didn't even know what to say to me when I asked why they were able to enter before us, also some people didnt even have priority tickets they just lined up in the priority line

You don't need to justify yourself to people that go out of their way to be unpleasant to others. That's their issue, not yours.
