That aside, I noticed something funny about her show the other day! During 'Are You Satisfied' she accidentally sang part of the lyrics to an old demo version of the song, and definitely noticed and was embarrassed!
 
Here's the old demo line: "High achiever, that is me! & I don't need your weed." rather than "High achiever, don't you see? Baby, nothing comes for free." (1:11)

Repeating words during the chorus doesn't equal basic lyrics. Also basic lyrics doesn't always equal a bad song. 

8 is one of her best songs ever

If PDCM was on the album, it’d be getting the same hate as the other songs on Love did since the lyricism is the same-not deep, but it’s still her style and personal! I’m glad she left it off the album, though.

Omg I think To Be Human's bridge is my favourite part of LOVE   It honestly sounds like it's pulled straight from TFJ, especially when she says "people driving fancy cars look like beetles to the stars" something about just takes me back to TFJ

she's not saying humans are bad, you obv haven't really listened to the song lol. she's writing a personal story about how after everything she's seen & experienced, she still doesn't know what her purpose is -- but she does know that she wants to feel connected to other people, and that's what everyone fundamentally wants.
 
and everyone has that to some extent, because we're all connected to each other in our love and our fear, regardless of how the resurgent alt-right fascist nationalist rhetoric makes people dehumanise those that are different. 
 
it's not really a woke song, it's just a cute lil message about her existential journey, and her trying to find meaning in her life again after her period of depression and hopelessness after the froot tour. that's what does make it genuine & heartfelt.
