    Hole, actually.

Ultraviolence is just a term Anthony Burgess used to describe the murders/beatings/rapes they committed, an extreme violence. I didn't interpret that single word to be have any more meaning, he made lots of words up for that book, that's just one of the most easily understood ones and one that people now actually use in real life.

Btw, he said this about A Clockwork Orange:

"We all suffer from the popular desire to make the known notorious. The book I am best known for, or only known for, is a novel I am prepared to repudiate: written a quarter of a century ago, a jeu d'esprit knocked off for money in three weeks, it became known as the raw material for a film which seemed to glorify sex and violence. The film made it easy for readers of the book to misunderstand what it was about, and the misunderstanding will pursue me until I die. I should not have written the book because of this danger of misinterpretation, and the same may be said of Lawrence and Lady Chatterley's Lover."

I still don't know how exactly he would like it to be interpreted but that's pretty interesting.

well she always insists she writes every line of every song and it just adds to the lana-del-lies-list. plus mandler calling lana del rey a character and other people being involved in the songwriting process could indicate the songs aren't entirely autobiographical. lots of people have co-writers but they're usually honest about it and credit them, what does the fact that lana doesn't do this say? is she just worried about not being taken seriously as a songwriter or does she not want people to know about the role other writers play in her ~process~?

I'm not even a Lorde fan, but people dissing her looks is getting really tiresome. It's off-topic and come on, show some Christmas spirit by NOT trashtalking a 17-years old girl you don't know and who never even claimed to be pretty herself.

Now back to stalking a 28-years old girl we don't know

Lana is friends with a woman called Jane Powers, and I don't have FB receipts but they appear to be quite close. I think she's the one Lana mentions in this interview as one of her closest friends:

Jane Powers used to be a Fords model, and I would love to know more about Lana's model career. Do any of you know if Jane "scouted" her or something?
(Maybe this belong in minor questions.)

    EDIT: She didn't.
