not opening with MAC was a choice considering the final lines of the song are “are you ready for it?”, and also it would’ve meant the album opened with the words “you took my sadness out of context”, which seems very appropriate! love song after doin time was also a very bizarre choice the weirdest tracklist moment by far, tho, is diet mountain dew coming straight after video games. that was the originally “the trio coming straight after arcadia” moment

aaaaahhhh omg okay so im glad this topic exists !!! i think about this a lot for some reason?? just tiny lil tweaks id make if i could to "improve" the lyrics idk cause every now and then a lyric will really bug me from Text Book - "It seemed only appropriate you'd defend when they attack", because i hate how she rhymes "back" with "back" from Freak - "Looking back at my past it's even stranger than your danger", because "stranger than a stranger" is terrible but also i feel like this lyric tweak would reflect the idea that lana's past (or the narrator's past in general) was wild enough that she's not scared of anything anymore, yknow?? from Nectar of the Gods - "I get wild on you baby, I get wild and fucking crazy as the sky is blue" because the colour blue isn't crazy at all?? the original is such a weird lyric?? so the only way i can think to make it work would be to make it "crazy as the sky is blue", bc the sky sure is blue so that must mean she sure is crazy, right?? from Honeymoon - "Or whatever you wanna do, no Gods no rules" just because I find the lyric "we make the rules" a bit cringe and juvenile for some reason

if we get a tour for this album (unlikely, i know ) i'd absolutely LOVE it if she could bring the lovely backup singers that we hear on Thunder, Summertime Gershwin Version, etc with her so they can intermittently perform with Lana throughout the show and really beef up a few of the songs imagine hearing LMLYLAW performed the way it was on that TV performance (Jimmy Fallon?? i think??) but like IN THE FLESH, i think i'd collapse not my fav song at all but that version is truly something special. of course the classic songs would and should remain untouched - Video Games, Born To Die, Blue Jeans, Summertime Sadness, etc - but just for a few songs it'd be so nice to hear those ladies adding some richness and depth to the performance!
