I dig the lyrics. 

I am still obsessed with Art Deco. That song speaks to me so much! That songs feels like her type of songs she has always written and I love those types of songs from her. 

everything for me comes back to the mood.. alot of albums are 100 times better when youre 'in the mood' for
it, and the opposite, when you're not.

I'd kill for another song like Off To The Races. That song gave me life.

I don't know if people realize- Don't let me be misunderstood which was written for Nina, had 3 American hit versions in 3 different eras
1950s Nina
1960s Animals had a rock version
1970s Santa Esmeralda had a disco version
 
Lana's is a blend of the first two making it into her own vision of it with her own meaning coming through. She is not imitating here.
 
And The Other Woman fit the theme of Ultraviolence so well, (and should have been used in the final episode of Mad Men on tv if they had a scene of all the girls who slept with Jon Hamm over the years juxtaposed with his wife throughout the years).

Pretty When You Cry is the best song of her career

I'm really blown away by how sultry this album is and uh, being French, the line "dying by the hand of a foreign man happily" reminds me of the expression "la petite mort" which means "the small death" and stands for "orgasm". So, maybe far-fetch and I'm sorry to have to be the one bringing this up haha but this is how I feel now with this in mind: it's the story of a girl that craves for a man because she can't have it, for his fame, for his exoticism, then when she finally have it in the bridge, she simply passes to other priorities, she's playing with him. I love this so much because for once she's not the one being played, she's in control and having the fun of her life.

"Terrence may be Terry Burns, Bowie’s step brother who committed suicide and suffered from mental illness. Bowie written many songs about his brother such as ‘Jump they say’ as well as introducing him to jazz. Hence, the lyrics ‘I’ve still got jazz when I’ve got those blues’. The line ‘I still get trashed baby when I hear your tunes’ could also relate to Bowie listening back on the songs he written about his step-brother. The song in all may be a tribute to Bowie and his brother, as well as being vague enough to capture grief and lament whilst still enjoying and holding on to memories, creating a song that can be universally understood and related to.".

But yeah, this is easilyyy the best song we've gotten from Honeymoon so far and it actually reignited my interest in the album. Not to mention that this is probably her most well written song since Old Money, at least to me.
