All the songs sound the same on Ultraviolence? Sorry, I can't hear you over the HEY, SHAW, & strings that are in almost every BTD song.

Aw thank you for the mention lol. Well, I really like Showdown and Early Morning. Showdown is better though. And, Britney fans/general public usually answer In the Zone or Blackout, but some people say that Femme Fatale or even Circus are her best albums. Some fans think Blackout is overrated. 

I understand this is the "unpopular opinion" thread but just no. Lana herself doesn't really like the overproduction in BTD and why do her songs haveto berealtable to teens? It already isn't tbh, I mean, how many teens dream to have daddies, etc? And saying Lana is a shallow musician is bullshit. I just read You Are Free lyrics and there's nothing special about it. Lana can be repetitive on her themes, but she is not shallow. 

I don't know much about her albums but I do love her feature on Cedric Gervais' Summertime Sadness!

"West Coast inspired" and "moved on to a more spiritual place lyrically" both sound like AFFA and Hollywood, and less like FMUTT/Cruel World/Sad Girl/almost everything on UV. I fully believe the album she is describing in these articles is not Ultraviolence the way we know it. I think West Coast (the demo), Brooklyn Baby, Old Money, ITH, and Black Beauty were the ones intended for the original album. When you put them in a playlist with AFFA/Hollywood/maybeJFKandStarryEyed, you kind of understand where she had been going originally and I think it would have been so beautiful.

It's a quite popular opinion tbh.

If you were an album, everyone would hate you for being repetitive as f*ck

TIWMUG even though i know its over produced i still think its one of BTD Highlights.
 
Gods and Monsters From PD is amazing end of and imo is the best track from the EP.
 
PWYC is beautiful and tragic. Its the track with the most emotional impact and thats saying something tbh. You can really hear her obvious pain/anger. She almost sounds like she is about to cry and for tha its a deeply moving track...

Promo/digital single

Hahaha... despite being well-spoken in interviews and whatnot, I've found a handful of incorrect English in her songs. Not that that's uncommon, but since you guys brought it up, I thought I'd contribute.
 
One example: "Lucky Ones" The chorus ends with "...could it be, you and me are the lucky ones." To be grammatically correct, it would have to be "you and I," not "you and me."
 
Another: "National Anthem" In the main chorus, you have "Red, white, blue is in the sky..." Should be "are in the sky."
 
And then, there's her famous tweet about Ultraviolence: "Me and Dan Auerbach are excited to present you Ultraviolence"... should be "Dan Auerbach and I," not "Me and Dan Auerbach." Ahh, Lana, what shall we do with you... LOL...

I mean, the festival WAS a little bit TOO eclectic when it came to the lineup, and the location (Tecnópolis) was the worst option they could have taken. But there were really cool bands. All the fans were terribly hysterical and unbearable... Argentina has the craziest crowds as all artists say, but despite from the stage it might look cool, down there some people spend lots to have a really bad time. It was so hot, the prices were SO high, and most people left as soon as Lana went offstage... Which means they missed part of what they payed, Beck, who's an incredible artist. I had my t-shirt signed, and a big hug from Lana, touched Healey from Travis, caught one of the Palma Violets guitar pick, and had one of the best times ever. I was fixed to the fence, and hence I'm tall nobody can step on me. But I've seen some short teen-ish girls who were getting crushed. 
 
All the girls were wearing those stupid handmade flower crowns because they wanted to be in the limelight and thought it was artsy, but it was pathetic. And gay fans  were the pussiest people I've seen in my life (I'm gay so no homophobia here, it's just the only way I can help to describe the situation). They almost grew vaginas when Lana appeared onstage. And they all seemed to want the attention for themselves since you couldn't almost hear Lana's singing (gosh, people just didn't stop).
But I had one of the best times ever. If the organization would have been better, and the chosen location was another one (maybe an open stadium) the whole thing would have been so much better.
 
I've been to more than 40 concerts already, yet the fans in THIS specifical concert were... unbearable.

I can't believe I missed this

Anyway, the festival was the crappiest thing on Earth, so hopefully she'll come by herself next year...

I just noticed that there isn't a thread for Lana's show in Buenos Aires, Argentina, last year. It was at Microestadio del Bicentenario, an arena they made like two years ago. She was late, but at least it wasn't cancelled  This was her last performance of 2013.

I remember watching this while I was supposed to be making face charts for work! She was so cute the entire time. I had a Leaves candle lit while playing and it made the experience of laying bed ignoring work while watching Lana even more fabulous, haha

She looks like a doll in that dress, so cute 

But the UV one sucks and this one is good
If I would compare it to one of Lana's official videos than maybe Carmen or Video Games ^^
