Lana collabs with other artists just don't sound good...Her voice is too distinct and shines best on its own. Exception would be a rap features (meh) and deeper bass voices (like Wicked Game!).

She looks so much better as a redhead or as a brunette than as a blonde!

COCC is a staggering achievement, so fucking slept on by the fandom, and will prob be praised and adored 10-20 years from now (i really do think QFTC and all its related shit killed every ounce of public goodwill she racked up during NFR era). esp after spending time w new lorde i am in awe of lana's ability to write the most beautiful, intricate vocal melodies, which COCC highlights so beautifully.

This is one of the most boring albums ever made since the existence of the human race and maybe even before the creation of the cosmos.

Jack Fuckoff needs to be stopped.

It’s true that Lana stans are 1) very defensive of Lana 2) praise her for doing the bare minimum aka COCC basically

But Lorde stans aren’t better either, SP is not that great of an album and her fans are praising it just bc it’s coated with pretentious cult imagery that goes nowhere and has no bearing on the music

It’s not *bad* but we know most of the praise isn’t because of the music itself but because of who it’s coming from

She's definitely constantly creating but at the same time she doesn't seem to care so much about fame and sales anymore. I imagine her living a normal life and having a kid but still writing and recording demos that will be on some album in several years. It's kinda crazy how she has a year gap or two between every album and continued to be consistent for +10 years. I do think that NFR was her last album to be mainstream and that the next 5 albums will be very low key.

I don't give a shit what any of you think of my opinion. My opinion is not a debate.
Phoenix is a ugly name for a girl. Deal with it, put me on ignore and fuck off.

It can stand for Martini for all I care, I still think it's an ugly name in my opinion. I was hoping Chuck wasn't going to do the typical celebrity name thing but oh well.

Phoenix? Really? She named that beautiful girl Phoenix?

Horrible name. Why not Daisy or Melinda or an actual girl name?

I think the most annoying criticism of Lana's music that rubs me the wrong way is that everything sounds the same because of stripped down production. This frustrates me, because I truly cannot think of many songs, if at all, where I was like, "this sounds like it could be on another record of hers!!!" She is very talented at world building in her album concepts. The only songs I've ever thought that were a few tracks on Chemtrails could have been on Norman, and that's because Jack is a very simplistic producer. None of these Blue Banisters singles so far sound like they could be on any of her albums to me.

it's criminal how dolores' suffering and abuse and death has been misunderstood and exploited for an aesthetic  i still think it's outrageous the book was ever made into movies.
and i keep wishing a flood of lana stans would create lyric/music videos etc with actual relevant imagery that supports lana's artistry. so, so sick of ppl associating lana with lolita imagery (an aestheticised fantasy created by a literal pedophile, humbert humbert)

also Olivia Rodrigo and Billie eilish more recently, I have tried so many times and I just can’t. I’m sorry.

That Fiona Apple album everyone deems to be the apex of music. There are some decent songs but I just couldn't get into it

SO, I'm gonna die if I don't post this. Recently I returned to this thought: NFR being about G-Eazy. Live she sings "But as some of u know, I've changed my mind" and idk why but it gave me In My Feelings vibes. The other day I made my research and... here's this weird stuff:
If u search "g eazy laurel canyon" literally the first thing u see is pics with him and Lana. And then, is this song: https://genius.com/G-eazy-guns-n-roses-lyrics which talks about how some woman likes Guns n roses, which is funny bc she has a song named like that. Then he talks about Laurel Canyon and Mulholland Drive which is even funnier since that's what she mentions in NFR, and Jonathan Wilson actually has a song named Mulholland Queen, some people claim this one is about Lana. Also, Gerald is 6'4''. In fact, Halsey made a poem where she talks about a man whom is "almost 7 feet". This height fits with G eazy, don't think Lana actually knew the exactly measure
In conclusion: imo, some parts of the song fits with him. But anothers, there's no way it could be him. So, NFR is a multiple man song  but with him included

I'm not sure if this is an unpopular opinion, here or elsewhere, but I'm starting to prefer the DEMO version of Ultraviolence
