Well, Piper Kerman sure is singing a different tune. In the interview I read with her a couple of weeks ago, she said that she would be completely against doing a second season, since it was based on her real life, but it seems that in the intervening time, she's realized that the show is successful enough to support another round. Honestly, after that finale, I can't see the second season being nearly as good as the first. The saving grace of those 13 episodes was the fact that everything was realistic.

I don't know how much anyone pays attention to Neon these days, but I just snuck a peek at her BMI page and nearly gasped. There's a couple of new song titles registered and the producers are....unexpected, to say the least. This is progress. Maybe we'll get Beg, Borrow & Steal before 2015.

The creator said that since the series was semi-autobiographical, the chances of a second season are slim-to-none. It sucks, because it's such a good show, but I guess we'll have to make do with a single season of brilliant TV.

American Dream is the proper title. Damn You is an alt, but everyone uses it for some reason.

I've read a lot of shitty fan fiction in my day. Harry Potter fanfic has got to be some of the worst, though. If you want to laugh your head off for a couple hours and quote it for the rest of your life, I suggest reading My Immortal by Tara Gilesbie. There's even a drinking game. That's how gloriously bad it is. Not convinced yet? Allow me to summarize: Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Raven Tara Way is the biggest Mary Sue in existence. She is a vampire, a witch, a "goff" (her spelling of Goth) and is friendly with all the original characters of the Harry Potter series, who are also vampires, wizards and goffs. There's a Twilight-esque love triangle between her, Draco Malfoy and Harry "Vampire" Potter. Almost every character has been renamed or misspelled and renamed by proxy, with such lovely gems as Neville "Dracola" Longbottom, Ronald "Diabolo" Weasley and Hermione "B'loody Mary Smith" Granger. It's definitely M-rated, because of the ridiculous sex scenes ("He put his thingy in my you-know-what"), gratuitous cursing (Ebony tells a character to fuck off because they "probably have AIDS", at one point) and general awfulness. It's widely considered to be the worst fanfic of all time, but it's probably one of the best things I've ever read. Do it with friends, if they're into it. Do it alone if they're not. Bottom line: Just do it.

I decided to transcribe these on my own before coming to this thread. We agreed on everything except the 7th and 8th lines. I was hearing "if you want to ride", which in retrospect makes very little sense if he's locked up. As for the 8th line, I agree with the "1 Greenwich Avenue" camp.

At least they're posting something, unlike every other blog at the moment. Everyone that matters to their future popularity has already seen through their attempt at becoming credible, though. The blog's only an hour old and it already hit its peak. I think that's a record, sadly.

Just tried Ben Mawson. It gave me Justin Bieber's Manager, The Strokes' manager and Cody Simpson's Manager before it gave up. Apparently, Ben has never been played before, so I added him to the queue. There was also a line of questioning that went like this: You have no clue how much I wanted to answer 'Yes' to that.

Though I understand how it'd be easy to get "Bod like Tron" out of those lyrics (and believed them to be that for a few months), I'm pretty sure it's "Bod like drawn". That makes more sense in context, even if the wording is a little awkward.

A fair point, but the odds are that at least one or two of those lengths were actually correct are rather high. That's my rationale.

They really didn't try very hard with their fakes. According to Last.fm, those times are completely wrong.

The argument was clearly not over, even before people came to argue. Some members on here have trouble letting things go and it's obvious that tensions are still running hot. Let things simmer down for a while, then reopen it when everyone has reached their zen place and we can all enjoy 14 together.

I think this thread needs to be locked for at least 24 hours, until things settle down. All you guys are doing with it is enraging the masses and that's really not okay. Anyone with me?

Gen 1 is freaking perfect in every way. Gen 2 was still pretty great, but a lot of that was due to Kaya Scodelario's fabulous job as Effy. I haven't even bothered with Series 3, since I've heard it's awful. As for the final season: Why exactly do we need to see Cook again? Effy and Cassie are understandable, but Cook? I'd have much rather had another Gen 1 in his place.

When I saw the first season, I understood why people were hooked. It's a really compelling story. When I heard that Season 2 was set in such a different place, I was worried that the best elements of the show (the fear of the unknown and the crazy plot twists) might not translate as well. I was totally wrong about that. Season 2 outstripped Season 1 in every way imaginable. As much as I love Connie Britton and Sarah Paulson, I have to say that Jessica Lange has stolen the show both times. Lily Rabe's Sister Mary Eunice was another standout character for me, though I didn't care much for her first season character. I'm quite excited for Coven. Lily Rabe's been confirmed as the lead actress for the season and Frances Conroy has signed on again for a role (probably another witch) that I already know I'm going to love. The hype is definitely building, for me.

I'm skeptical. She's already up and running (quite literally), only a few months after her injury. It set things back, but maybe not irreparably so. If it's happening this year, I'm thinking single release at roughly the end of the third quarter, followed by the album in the fourth. Early 2014 is definitely a possibility, though.
